***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

The 'official' ones being sold by the likes of PCW also include a number of adapters (pins only, no voltage change!) for use in other countries, which could be useful for anyone who plans to take theirs abroad.

Metrocentre Yellow Mall downstairs Carphone Warehouse ~8 in stock
Kingston Park Newcastle Carphone Warehouse ~3 in stock

Be fast guys.

They refused to sell me a second and said its one per person with no reservations.

This was despite me being told this morning that they were all reserved, then when I was instore mine was the last one... then someone else got sold one, bloke looked sheepish to say the least.

If anyone has another person with them and can pickup another I would appreciate it, went for 2 one for the missus and one for her mum.
Picked up the above neoprene pouch from £land too lol :p

EDIT: Charging now.
Screen seems very responsive.

Can anyone confirma decent media player?
Also is there anythign available that will allow me to browse shared stuff on my media PCs?

player and a program to install onto computer that lets you stream music and vids

Bloody Hell. I swapped over my fairly new Netgear DG834G for my pretty old O2 freebie router and I can now stream iPlayer and BBC News. Happy, but not happy if you see what I mean.

The one that comes in the box has adaptors for UK and Europe....

Thanks for the pointer to the international adapter. Will be useful for when I go to Australia. :)

But where's the best place to get a TouchStone at the moment? (I just got my TouchPad from CPW!)

From my post in the other thread mate the touchstone and case for £54 from CPW is a decent price.

How on earth do I install that ipk file?
Just tried goin there direct on the touchpad and says cannot open mime type

Does the charger that comes with the Touchpad or Touchstone work abroad? Has the pins so does it convert? Do I need the international charger as it looks the same as what you get with the TP...

ps3ud0

Any one have problems with BBC Iplayer, I can watch a normal programme but when I need to tick that I'm over 18 I cant see the box, it just goes out of focus, I can see it when I swipe up and down but can't click it.

Is it possible to view the HP Touchpad App Store on a PC?

I keep 'Googling' for links, and am expecting to find something along the lines of a 'slimmed down' Android App store, but I haven't found it yet!

A direct link would be much appreciated.

Thanks! :)
