It's free, of course it is. If your phone gets lost or stolen then you really want to be able to put on stuff like offering a reward and a phone number that the phone can be returned by.

It's a good program and you don't want to leave your phone unlocked with access to your facebook, flickr, gmail, exchange, paypal and who knows what else enabled if it goes missing.
 
how do you cancel a call? twice I've had it ring someone, the screen goes blank and I can't seem to cancel it. on the other phones I've used they've had a 'hang' button.

osc89er I downloaded wavesecure last night, just haven't used the backup feature yet.
can you get the licence transferred to a new handset or will you have to pay $20(after today)?

On my Hero I press the back button to reactivate the screen so i can then use the hangup key or the end call button on screen.

I have no idea how Wavesecure's licencing works I'm afraid.

The phone switches the screen off when held up to the face. Hold it away from the face and then just end the call.

I've had no issues with this :)
 
Still getting 'the order has not been processed try in a couple of hours' message on T Mobile site. I ordered last Thursday, panic and impatience is reaching fever pitch. My damn card expires end of this month as well something will go wrong nothing is ever straight forward. :(
 
Just noticed the T-Mobile 2 free movies rental link is now working. It wasn't before. The link should be in your Bookmarks already.

I'm waiting for Orange. There's a rumour they are going to shortly re-align some of their monthly contracts as they are looking pricey compared with bed partner T-Mobile. Hope they don't brand the phone to the hilt either.
 
Funny reading around. People from the USA are amazed that you can get the latest phones free on £30 ($45? even less with no VAT?) a month contracts.

I'm glad we have serious competition in the UK markets. All the more reason why the Orange/T-Mobile merger is bad.
 
Really loving this phone, even if i don't have a clue how to use most of it.

Could anyone recommend some good sites for themes, wallpapers and apps please.

Hi,

Just a quick question as I was reading the XDA forums about the desire and they say that it has a different USB connection. Now I have the HTC Hero and really don't want to buy a new car charger etc when i get the Desire. So can someone that had the Hero and has got the desire confrim it is the same connection as that on the Hero?
