Will it be easy for the devs to get this new radio build into custom ROM's like DeFrost or OD ?

Looking forward to ROM's every ten minutes over on XDA :D
 
Just updated, have a lot more free RAM now it seems. Normally on a reboot, a task kill will take me to the rough 240MB RAM region, now in the 280 region.
Must be optimised a bit in that regards.

Edit: ooooh I likey, the 2.2 efficiency improvements have definately helped Rockplayer. Several files that were far too slow are almost watchable now. Still buggy for MKV, but if they improve the efficieny of thier player and fix the bugs and sub/audio stream support, the future is looking good :)

WHAT do i do?????????/

its buggered, the phone now boots up, it is the same as before 2.1, but says 2.2 on the software, the phone keeps rebooting and i have no network connections at all.
 
seems my wi fi signal has improved a lot since this update! in the same spot before the update i had 1 signal now its full. Might have a mess with the wi fi hotspot next :D

Try a factory reset AFTER its finished resetting itself (Give it another 10-15mins). Mine ran through the HTC screen and rebooted a few times.

*edit just tried the link in my email from my phone and it says my phone is not an andriod phone and wont let me download it, ive just tried it on my laptop and it says the same :(.

*edit edit managed to find an old version of the swype installer on my sd card all is good :)

Anyone know if any of the apps that a lot of us use are now redundant with Froyo? Like SMS notification, Gmail notifier, etc;?

no not rooted had a stock build on, it bombed out on install after the download. if i try reset i get a red error msg, guess im gonna have to do the gold card thing again :( trouble is the phone keeps rebooting every 5 mins
 
Just downloading the new radio, version hasn't changed much from the leaked one. Will test the new update once it is rooted and has a2sd+ :)

EDIT: i havent noticed much difference between 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.08 and the new 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20 - signal might be slightly better, but it might be all in my mind, lol

Well my phones borked. :(
Reboots, does a loading percentage thing, with another box below that says 'network error (www.google.com)', shows the lock screen, then if i use it, it reboots itself! :(
