*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Its available - for me using a generic ROM. Many thanks to the post above from martin9887 making me check.

I'll be leaving it until it's rooted, can't see it giving anything much over the froyo roms available. Although I hope battery life is improved!

Removed a good 30mb of apps and same problem.

Not sure then, I just made space for 25 MB.

Nothing the rooted peeps haven't seen, but just some proof keke ^___^

There will be a rooted version by the end of today I would say....

Doubt that, there's not many people who can find vulnerabilities in the software to get root access, it took Paul a week to find a workable root, then it took over a month to refine it so it didn't brick the USB.

mine keeps crashing and now stuck in a loop if i restart it just says updating and then will come up with force close or wait - :( either one i choose just loops back to the updating screen again... HTC bricked me! help!!!

Anyone have a walk through on how to install Froyo?

Got my phone last week and i have NO idea what to do.

settings > about phone > and somewhere in there there is an option to check for update.

Then let it download then install and boom should work :)

If your phone is not network locked, hit the menu button on the front> settings > scroll down to the bottom and you should see "about phone" system software updates is at the top, hit check now, then follow the prompts from there on in.

edit: beaten to it as I was typing :-)
