720p seems much better too after updating to newest radio also will do some more testing later

OpenDesire 3.0.2 with the latest radio from official HTC update.

next OD should have 720p too with 30fps 480p iirc.

Is there an app which allows you to select text like on the iPhone? I find that trying to insert the cursor is really hit or miss and would be nice to stroll between words.

Long press on most text and you should get two little markers pop up which you can move around to select text. Doesn't work in every app though (Handcent doesn't have it).

Ah, see what you mean. Yes, I have this problem too. Just get the cursor as close as possible then use the trackpad to move the cursor.

Where should I located them so the Video player can access it?

AVI is just a container, so I guess it's down to the codec used.

I don't watch videos on my phone, but if its anything like the music player you can put them anywhere on the SD and they should be picked up automatically.
