Pinkolin's ROM is really fast and good, no fault at all and has % battery too although not supercircle.

Boot time is superb @ around 20 seconds tops.

I'm installing Pinkolin's 2.2 ROM atm, sure I'll lose the Wiimote pairing ability but the camera app is far better than any stock camera app!

Im using [ROM] Official 2.2, with: busybox, old A2SD+, OpenVPN (TUN), EXT4 support, 802.11N

Its nice and clean with no junk added :D Had the a2sd and wifi n that i was looking for!
 
Bah! i carn't stop switching ROM's lol.

There is always something on a ROM that i want that is not on anouther with some other think i like.

Gonna end up having to learn how to make um :p lol

I think im just going to wait on Modaco to wack up the sense 2.2 update on cook it up in the kitchen and stick with that
 
For some reason I can't connect to the internet over 3g now :( Don't know why and not sure what settings to play with either.

general question about Launcher pro am I right in thinking you cant use standard htc widgets with it? I bought launcher pro plus last night to get some more at the moment theres only 3 widgets, im sure more will come and it worked out at about £1.80 so its not too bad
 
Had a play and it's working again, just need to re-enter all my contacts as for some reason they didn't save, even though I had exported them to the sd card before rooting and put a copy on my laptop.

I seem to be rather crap at this :D

EDIT: It looks like it only saved those contacts who are in my gmail contact list :(

This is the one I'm running at the moment. Seems fast and stable. Going to monitor battery usage today, but if that's good I'll be sticking with this one for a while. Getting bored with flashing a new rom every couple of days now:p

Sorry for the ancient quote, but i installed launcher pro then i selected sense as default launcher I can see where the option in applications would be to change it but its grayed out any ideas?

Home switcher allows me select LP but it doesnt set it as default even tho it says it does....
 
Right my friend is getting his Desire delivered on Thursday.... with Orange :O

Should I flash it for him? I haven't rooted myself but I know he is going to have loads of Orange rubbish on there.

Or should I just leave it as it is?

Lastly, what is the bog standard HTC Sense rom? No super circle or anything like that

If he swings that way i suppose you could ¬_¬

There's loads of standard sense roms about, the first page of xda is filled with them :p look at the features and take your pick!

I'm using PinkyDesire because it seems very good and Pinkolin is usually on top of things.

I'm giving this a go, just re-installing apps etc now :)

Didn't realise it used Sense though, so I'm assuming installing Launcher Pro again won't hurt?
