Ways and means to get it ive found...
Its aparentely syncing my music now. The app says its syncing, and hasnt crashed.
The phone says its syncing. And there is an HTC app taking uo 30% CPU time....yet....nothing appears to be happening!:(

i don't know, all i do know is i made a gold card and stuck a stock 2.1 on, i then did the ota 2.2 update and bricked my phone for 4 hours along with a load of other people, someone then worked out you needed the gold card you made 2.1 on and it worked, so for me i have a spare card which is my gold card. for the sake of £5 worth having i reckon

You may be correct, Tried the unrevoked method in both windows and linux and nothing happened :( gonna give it another go tomorrow at work on the xp 32bit machine and see if that makes a difference, if not, I'll wait till my new sd card turns up and try the gold card method.

Try conecting it to your pc as a Hdd.

There should be a installer on the memory card that came with it, at least there was on mine.

seems to be working fine for me?

im on an unlocked, unbranded, froyo toting desire

:EDIT: scratch that. it doesnt sync properly. i'll wait for the official desire version i guess

Scratch that, had to install HTC Sync, reboot, uninstall HTC Sync, reboot, run unrevoked and it worked. Bizzare.
 
Hello,

Tonight I rooted my phone, then installed DeFrost 0.4v ROM, and now my Desire can't find the SD card, it says its not present :/

Any ideas?
 
Bugger, rooted and tried installing opendesire but it seems to be stuck on an endless boot :( no matter what I try it won't work. Do I have to rename the zip file to something else as I've left it unchanged from opendesire_v3.0.0.zip

I've literally just booted now, fingers crossed mine works :p

Ran unrevoked, put the OD zip file on the sd card, rebooted the phone into the recovery, ran a backup to be safe, installed OD from sd card then rebooted again. Am I missing something here?

I spoke too soon, mine seems to be on an endless boot sequence too :/

It's getting too late to be faffing around with the phone now, gonna give it another go at work in the morning. :(
 
Unevoked3.1 (whatever) my mates vodafone firmwared Desire tonight, easy! (he didnt do todays update tho!) Hes now running a rom off xda, the stock 2.2 root with market fixed.

Papped an official 2.2 on mine too, i was on leedroid 1.6 i think... now im on 2.2 close to stock but with root, good old apps2sd and wifi n :D

Which ROM did you go for?

There's too many :p

I'm installing Pinkolin's 2.2 ROM atm, sure I'll lose the Wiimote pairing ability but the camera app is far better than any stock camera app!
 
There are too many ROMs now, the devs should just collaborate and make an amazing one.

I bet most of you spend more time flashing than actually using the phone :p :(
