You can change the bootanimation.

Have a look over in *I think* the Developers section, theres a guide.

Anybody have any idea what's happened?
Seems with this flash I've managed to sync all my contacts from facebook to my phonebook, WITHOUT their profile pictures.

It's annoying having to scroll through 400+ people to find the right one so ideally I'd like them gone and my previous contacts back!

Infact after re-reading the LeeDrOid thread over at XDA apparently replacing the boot ani is as easy as;

Custom bootanimation, drop yours in /data/local/

Leeroid rom is crashing all the time when i try and install most things, some install, some don't. launcher pro wont install the phone just reboots.

I have tried setting the install location to phone and external, both crash.

Any ideas?
 
Strange, I downgraded my HBOOT to 0.80, wiped and all is good.
But I was having problems with the market yesterday, but could've been Orange messing around.

Maybe a re-flash?

Just wiped and re-flashed, going to try install launcher pro again now, 2 secs!

Edit - Nah just reboots when starts to install :(

Same happened to mine and it seemed to be related to the auto install setting. Go into the menu and run the program ModInstallLocation and specify where you want them to be.

I actually formatted my SD card so I could enable appstoSD and have the above program set to 2 (External) rather than 0 (Auto). Once I did that, all installs have worked.

Pity as I'm sure people would pay more for something that looks a bit less dire :p

K, what HBOOT version are you running? if it's 0.80 then it's fairly straight forward if its 0.93 then you need to downgrade before rooting otherwise you will most likely brick.
 
Im on the pays desire froyo rom now.

Whats the difference between this and the leedroid one that you all seem to be using?

Also, can anyone get willhill working on 2.2? It works fine on 2.1, but times out on all 2.2 roms ive tried :(

LeeRoid has wake on trackpad,
Faar better battery life, mine has been off charge since 6.50 and I'm currently sitting at 71% with fairly moderate use, should last me through the day.
Also he bundles some nice apps in there, sure you could download them through the market, but that's effort!

There is loads of reasons, but that's only some ;)
