*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I guess so, but maybe they've just got them in and are leaving it till tomorrow to sort it out.

I went into CPW today, and the 18 month deals are pretty rubbish, and I don't really want a 24 month contract :(

Agreed - the 18 month CPW deals for this phone are utter cack. Really disappointed with them as they seem to have taken their eye off the ball bigtime in comparison to their competition.

the t-mobile store near me have agreed to price match the £25 a month 300 minute 300 text free handset 18 month contract deal from MPD :) They're out of stock though, will be getting it on Wednesday.

I think they are trying to force people into signing into 24 month contracts.

There was one particularly good deal on a 24m contract, £30 for 500 mins, unlimited texts and web with Orange at CPW. Though after about 15 months, I get bored, or on some occasions, the phone begins to fall apart, leaving me with an expensive, crap contract with no phone.

It's a shame, I think 36 month contracts will probably be introduced to give the best deals. I miss the 12 month contract days :(

Edit: To make this post less moany :D I got myself a Mofi case in anticipation, and it seems pretty good, the inside is really soft. I also got a crap screen protector from Phones4U for a few quid, but does anyone know of any good protectors being released soon?

I got 300 minutes, unlimited web / texts and £ 129 phone on 18 months for £20 a month, online - I'm returning it though because I prefer O2.

Supposedly, they match the online offers in store..

Even turning on normally takes ~ 10 minutes just now!

It will only boot into safe mode as well. Done nothing to it, it went crazy I.E pressing the screen would change the volume keep going to helicopter screen etc.

So I toke the battery out, as wouldn't allow me to turn it off.

Not wanting to reset everything but hey ho! Here goes.

Mine did that earlier. Its a ROM issue, not a phone issue. How can I be so sure? I'm using the updated OTA Desire ROM on my Nexus :o :p Seems to fine now though....

I toke it back to store, got to the point where it wouldn't even turn on at all. Hopefully this will work now or I will be looking towards the X10.

Looks like the reviews on MPD where justified now.... (Thank you to whoever pointed them out!!!! :))

T-Mobile online out of stock according to DM on Twitter, not told me an ETA yet.

Yep i rung them Sunday and was told they are out of stock and probably looking at Wed this week...expecting a call back from them when its back in stock...im still in 2 minds on whether to get this as my second phone to use alongside my BB 9700.

Excellent!

My account showing as this still, grr:

Order in Progress. Your order is still being processed by our sales team. This won't take too long, so please try again in a couple of hours.

Sent 4 emails to MPD now to cancel my order and they still havent done it.

Even have read reciepts from them so I know they have seen the emails. If the do send the phone now I have every right to keep it without charge as its classed as unsolicited goods.

I expect T&C's will state that you need to cancel either over the phone or in writing (not email).
Most company's don't like cancellations via email.

It will not be classed as unsolicited goods.
You ordered the item and all they need to do is claim the order was beyound the point where it could be cancelled.

They seemed fine with me in dealing with them so far, very helpful in changing the order I placed. I would have cancelled because they have been slow in sending the phones out but they spent time in helping make sure everything was setup correct, plus I'd prefer a straight from HTC phone.

You can find bad reviews for every place on the internet.

Except in this case they have had numerous emails (4 in total) over the span of 5 days which have all been read and the order has not been cancelled, still states pending stock.

As for cancellation rights under consumer protection I have a right to cancel within 14 days by writing (email or letter) as stated in their T&C's.

So if they do not cancel the order as requested the goods are unsolicited as I have proof of them reading the cancellation emails.

Not as bad as that place its seems a large chunk had issues with the customer service part of it if they had issues with phone etc, a few of them it took over 1 month for them to get a replacement even though the phones were in stock, same story as some posted here saying they had sent out although the tracking numbers didn't exist they received..
