*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

So whats the ideal SetCPU settings gents? Finally rooted and giving it a go, I'm guessing something along the lines of screen off = max of say, 400? Or should I go even lower than that? I don't want it to be unresponsive when unlocking etc.

Took my original HTC battery out to put a spare in tonight and, There was some 'liquid' in the battery compartment.

I'm thinking it can only be a leaking battery, Does anyone know anything about these types of batteries ?

I'm not going to charge it, I have two spare.

Another issue, Running Open Desire 4, Can't send MMS on O2 PAYANDGO, Tried a few things like setting APN type to mms, Selecting postpay - prepay ect, It won't send :(

Anyone on OD 4 with working MMS ?

Solved!

Turn the screen off, then on again. Wait a few seconds, the headphones should work again. Annoying, but faster than rebooting :)

Cures it for me :)

Leaving the headphones plugged in?

It seems to occasionally fix the headphones but not the inline controls.

I have the following profiles: (max/min/piority)

Screen Off: 245/245/100
Charging/Full: 998/245/90
Battery <25%: 499/245/75
Battery <50%: 768/245/50

My phone will last 48 hours with this depending on use.

Hey guys something is driving me crazy with my desire.

It's quite simple really, I can't seem to change the wallpaper that appears behind the lock screen (the one where you enter the pattern to get to your home) It's always this crappy green grass, and even if I change my home wallpaper it does not change this one which is quite weird. Does anyone know how to do it? I'm using latest Open Desire.

Try rebooting, I had exactly the same problem when I installed the latest OD but after a few rebooted its cured it's self.

I had a similar problem, I just couldn't get it to go down the correct APN no matter what I tried. It always seemed to default to wap.o2.co.uk for MMS unless I removed that entry totally (I snooped the traffic to observe this). Of course then I could send MMS but my wap wasn't working. In the end I installed LeeDroid and this fixed the issue, I think there is something buggy with the 'APN type' field as setting this to 'mms' for the mms APN entry should send all that traffic down there but it doesn't seem to with some ROMs.

The only way, via Recovery!

Simplest way is ROM Manager off the Market, the best way is via permanent recovery flashed using unrEVOked. I recommedn AmonRA R5 recovery if this option is used.

Must have done something wrong, installed via recovery using the clockwork mod that unrevoked automatically installs, defrost and the radio update installed fine but once loaded I just get a pretty X type screensaver and that's about it lol. Just going back to my backup now.

I've always used ROM Manager (either the UI or rebooting into Recovery) - why is unrEVOked/AmonRA better?

ClockworkMod recovery is what unrevoked flashes by default but a better recovery to flash using unrevoked (via teh file menu BEFROE connecting the phone) is AmonRA R5: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=721792

It's better supported by various features like EXT4 backup and restore, has a more logical layout and is very stable.

Press the Menu button to show/hide the actual recovery menu on the black screen?

It should flash properly if you've met the requirements to use unrevoked first though!

I also assume you're entering recovery once flashed by holding Volume Down during power on and then selecting recovery?

This is the kind of screen you should see:
