*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Is LeeDroid any good, I've had enough of defrost, I'm finding it crashes a lot.

I'm using LeeDrOiD 2.0a it's quite good.

I missed sense, OD was awesome, did have a few issues, and lack of sense, eventually after various problems with the camera I reverted back.
Quite happy at current, but do miss the levels of customisation you get with OD.

4.0.6 does look quite good, will wait till they've fixed the OJ problem before returning.

Very nice, using which ROM? Unless of course I missed the post

Modaco R8, but running a dual governor script.

I wouldn't trust 90% of ROMs on XDA, most are just a miss mash of zip files the developer has merged into one ROM without fully understanding the implications.

Paul however, knows what he is doing.

There's a a method for the current HTC kernel to be undervolted, but I'm waiting for the kernel source to be release and the UV to be hard coded, then this ROM will be insane for battery life without having to remove sense or cripple the sync features.

probably a silly question but...
Is there anyway to disable volume buttons when the phone is unlucked? While it's not a big deal I often press them by mistake. 1 press of volume up button in silent mode turns the phone to normal mode. :(

Running MCR r8 just now, Back with Sense :)

Fed up with the lack of changelogs for OD recently 'updated apps, framework and kernel' just doesn't cut it anymore when updates are pretty much daily.

OD 4.x.x vs MCR r8 with the UV module for battery is near enough identical i'm finding.

OD 3.6.1 was superb for battery drain, Might just go back to that for a full days worth of usage.

I'm looking for longevity and stability now, Features are an afterthought.

The 720 capture there looks very smooth though Khaaan.

wow at the 720p video Khaaan! thats so much smoother than the stock sense. I should really get around to rooting one of these days.

Shame i went to stock 2.2 froyo and it requires a lot more effort now to root :(

Not really. You can downgrade to 2.1 quite easily using this and then use unrevoked to root it in 1 click ;)

Check the links for more info to see if your Desire is compatible. If yours isn't a newer SLCD or locked one, then it will be fine (Not sure about the SLCD ones, just read that they're awkward). I've rooted 3 of my friends Desires using the same method and no problems, and it doesn't take long at all!
