*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Canceled my order from MPD today, as mine still said 'Pending Stock' and I don't think their support will be good should the phone go wrong. Got my HTC Desire today :):) well happy, I just phoned my local T-mobile shop and I got the last one left xD.

The phone is MIND blowing coming from an lg cookie. Got to charge it for 10 hours though for first time use >.>
Love this phone so much.

Says 3 hours in the manua! As soon as the light go's green it's charged, will just stop charging after so pointless having it plugged in for 10 hours.

Google Navigation is pretty cool esp street view if you've got a strong enough 3g signal. The actual turn by turn voice isn't great as she tells you to turn after the turn! But then again it is still beta and not officially supported over here

Connect your phone up via the usb cable, when it pops up with the numerous options on your phone select USB Storage, install the HTC Sync application.

You can then sync your phone with outlook etc.

Hi there

That's what I did, plugged in and selected USB Storage. Then Windows detects new Hardware and then can't install it.

What is this HTC Sync app you talk about...? :o

Just spoke to a nice lady at t-mobile and she has confirmed that they had some more in today and my other two will be with me on Thursday (wifes and eldest are both getting rid of their iPhone 2Gs to go all HTC with me!)

i came home to mine from mpd

but i have no sim card with it! i cant see it anywhere?

any chance they havent set one up? or have they just forgotton to include it?

Anyone got any better deals than this T-Mobile plan as seen on the MPD site

£25.00 per month (free phone)
600 mins
500 txts
unlimited internet
3 months insurance
24 month contract

Tempted to give them a call to see it they can better the plan then give T-mobile a call and see if they can match it.

Ive got

Unlimited texts
Unlimited internet
18month

Its a retentions deal i got from a manager, still debating weather to accept or not.

What do you think?

I'd say there was a good chance of them messing this up. Last time I got a phone from MPD, it all came in a big brown box containing: the phone retail box, a letter from MPD explaining returns etc, and a pouch with a sim card in.

I'd get on to them first thing tomorrow. But at least you have your phone I guess

300 mins (5 hours) is still a good amount and you have the advantage of a 18 month contract and unlimited txts.

I might see if PFD will reduce the contract length to 18mths

I think ill accept the deal :) £25 / unlimited texts / unlimited web and 18months are the main things i was looking for. Plus i get to stay with my provider knowing their coverage is awesome in my area.

Just been out to CPW and bought one... £399 sim free, well happy :). Going to have a play with it when I get home from work! Should be awesome coming from the G1.

I thought about getting it SIM free then figured that if I get the Desire with T-Mobile on their £10 a month for 24 months contract it would cost about the same and comes with airtime, texts and data. (£164 for the phone + 24 * £10 = £404)

I have found the following deals at carphone warehouse:

Orange Dolphin £30, 24 months (500 minutes, unlimited texts, and net (500 meg limit))

Vodaphone offer the above deal, but only 300 mins. I really want to hold out for a £25 a month contract with free phone though.
