very strange indeed, hboot or partition of card?
I'm not sure. I'm on stock hboot. My phone boots,I put in my sim pin and it just reboots. I'm sticking with oxygen for now.

Installed my first Desire ROM today after purchasing a new 32gb card, given it a new lease of life and surprisingly straightforward to do! 4ext Touch Recovery is brilliant. Tempted to try some other ROMs now but I do like Runnymede.
What speed did you get if its a fast one d2ext works great on Runnymede, ive had nothing but bother with the latest 3.5 roms and mms not working, cant figure it out as all the settings appear to be correct
Only class 4, same as the card it replaced.
Cheers for that suggestion, I went for MIUI_AU but I kept getting corruption errors when installing, but then I went for Mildwild which is looking fantastic. Will be having a play - going to give my phone a real good clean as it's looking a bit manky nowadays.
The MildWild rom isn't ICS,it's just got an ICS theme.
There are a couple of other ICS beta's on the xda forums that work fine.

I also thought that ICS might be a bit heavy for the Desire anyway, really liking the theme though and as it's based on Oxygen (I think) it's very snappy.
I used ROM manager this morning to install a new ROM. Went for the Cyanogen Mod 7.1.1 or whatever was the latest one.
It doesn't have Market app on there, I don't like the ROM and it won't let me update to a different ROM in ROM Manager because it needs to update ROM Manager.
Mehhhh !!
Try flashing this as well. It's zip align for that rom and it makes it even snappier IMO.
I assume you just flash it like a normal ROM, as in applying the zip in recovery.
