*** The official HTC One S thread ***

Yup it should fit, however, if it is anything like the one S regarding the bigger battery, it might not actually work, as in it won't charge any further than 1800mAh, not sure if it is a hardware or software issue though and perhaps the people at XDA for the XL have got it working, check to be sure!

been monitoring the battery over the last few days

i think with my usage i am getting a days worth out of it with about 3 hours on screen time before i need to charge

so long since i had the one s i cant remember what i was getting with that

i know on the nexus 4 i was getting about 4 hours, iphone 4s was about 4 to 5 hours usage

would definetly like a bit more juice , could see me struggling on holiday to make it through the day

If you are away on holiday and enable airplane mode, the phone will last a lot longer. I did that last year with my S and could have easily gone for 3+ days without charging and that was with pretty heavy use i.e. camera mainly, games every now and then and in bright sun light so the screen would have been at 70+% most of the time.

If you don't mind the bulk and/or price, these might be of interest (should work on the XL too):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerSkin-B...369238047&sr=8-1&keywords=htc+one+x+powerskin (could probably get it from some where else)

Supposedly this is pretty good and charges the phone really quickly:

Yup, it's the signal that kills it more than anything. Long train journeys on friday and monday and my phone was basically dead with 1-2 hours screen on time because it had poor signal and trying for internet connection the whole time.

just thought of something else to try re the battery life

when i got the phone the seller hadnt erased everything properly which leads me to believe a full factory reset will help (he had left some photos on)

will try this in a bit and see if battery life improves

is gsm battery monitor the best one for checking screen on time?

did a full reset and when it booted up it started to ask for settings in chinese until i changed it to english

wonder if this is an imported handset (anyway to find out?)

currently running at 72% with a screen on time of 57 mins with 4h7m on battery

combo of watching youtube getting emails and watchin some youtube (while at work lol)

Not sure, it might be related to the CID number, get CID getter from the market, the CID number for sim free/unbranded devices is:

HTC_001

Been messing around a lot lately with editing some photos, usually just put some filter on top or just use auto enhance but this time, changed the white balance etc. manually.

Still got a lot to learn though :o

I do take a lot of crappy shots though! Always take more than just 1 from different angles and then choose the best one later.

Perhaps, there are different vendors for the camera sensor, wouldn't be the first time/phone! Sarge should be able to confirm :p

Thanks :)
