***The Official HTC One Thread***

I've just unpacked my black HTC One.

Are the capacitive home and back buttons supposed to light up? It's kind of hard to press then accurately unless I'm under a light.

Apparently there's no software update, are three delayed in rolling it out?

Hi guys, I'm a bit late to the party but this phone looks really good. I've been an iPhone user for over 5 years and immthinking of changing to this phone. Has anyone else done the same? What are the main pros and cons of the phone?
Cheers

I found out the lights light up randomly, can't seem to see a pattern in them. They seem to always light up for me however.

Under settings, about phone, software infomation, what does the software number say? 1.29.401.12 is the latest.

EDIT: Ok I had a play by covering the camera and sensors, it seems when it detects it's dark enough, they light up. When it's bright enough, they don't turn on.

Software version 1.28.771.6

That's a little frustrating about the capacitive buttons. I'd like them to illuminate with the screen. The room is dark enough for me to not be able to see the buttons but they still don't light up!

That's good to know. I happened on it by accident and remembered your issue.

I have just travelled from pretty much one end of the country to the other and it's faithfully updated every step of the way just as its supposed to. It was really annoying me - thanks for the link.

Finally ordered a One from T-Mobile on a retention deal. I wanted it in black strangely they only supply it in Silver. Have to wait 5 days for the phone.

500mins, Unlimited Texts, Data, Land line calls and the phone for free for £22 a month (24months).

Just got around to checking out the camera using a sneaker I grabbed from sister's room. I'm still on 1.28.771.6 firmware:

I'm noticing a bit of noise in the corners of some shots

Never mind the corners, the whole shot is very noisy. When you get the update can you try and take the same photo in the same conditions?

Ok these are taken using daylight:

Looks like the light source was messing with the image capture lastnight. HTC needs to give us control of the flash
