***The Official HTC One Thread***

Looks like you are having the ISO bug intratech, (in the first post). Should see a nice improvement with 1.29, also try "night mode" too as it leaves the shutter open for a wee bit longer and reduces noise levels.

HTC one looks quite a bit better in the daylight shots imo, less noise and more detailed, HDR doesn't look as good though. A wee bit washed out overall, but I imagine that is more realistic than the GS 3? If you want a bit more colour, try putting the saturation or contrast up by 1 or just run it through the auto enhance effect in the gallery, snapseed etc.

Ran the first image through perfectly clear :p

Regarding the GS 4 VS one camera, a couple of people on XDA are returning their GS 4 for the HTC one again due to the shutter speed, say that they miss the shutter speed as most of their shots on the GS 4 come out blurry, probably trying to take pics of their kids and/or pets (the OIS on the one would also help)

Yep, that's exactly what I came up with after thinking about it.

Hoping S-OFF gets figured out soon so I can change the CID on the device & use unbranded firmware as 3 seem to be useless when it comes to keeping the device firmware updated.

I've been messing around with my HTC One for a few hours now.

It really is a beautiful phone. I'm just trying to get used to Android again (coming from iOS) which is a little frustrating but I'll soldier on. :)

Annoyances:
Not having a middle button to press that wakes up the phone etc.
The capacitive buttons not lighting up when the screen wakes up. It makes using these buttons in the dark extremely frustrating. I literally have to be in pitch black for them to light up.
Rayman Jungle Run - Not being compatible. :( (:p).

I'm not going to judge the camera until I get the 1.29 update (come on three!!!)

I wish I was more blown away by it but I think it's just because of those annoyances that I'm not.

Finally got my HO! I wasn't confident that Affordable Mobiles would have stock soon, but I received it today... £30 for the handset and a free HTC Media Link too. A great sim deal too with 500 mins, unlimited text/data.

Just waiting for it to charge and then I'll be on to playing with it!

Seems like we have a bunch of "fussy" people on XDA with the GS 4 as well :p :o

Tom_D's are everywhere!!! :p

Unsure as to if it is a software or hardware problem.....

Am I the only one who thinks that this issue and the tiny uneven gap on the HTC one (also present on the GS 4 [and many other phones] but around the entire phone/casing pretty much, but doesn't seem to be a "problem" for that handset.....) are completely pointless "issues" ("imperfections" is a better word to use) and aren't worth worrying about?!

Nope. Obviously I'd prefer it not to be there though.

I know it seems like all I'm doing is moaning but I do really like the phone other than a few niggles, haha.

Does anyone use Sony's Music Unlimited? Whenever I try to load it up I get "Sorry, purchasing a subscription is current not available in your country/region". I've tried clearing app cache, uninstalling/reinstalling etc.

Is there a way to get the phone to 'wake up' when you get a message. The flashing light good and all but I have my phone on silent when at work and I'm used to the screen coming on when I get message.

I find my S amazing in sunshine and the X is even better so the one must be just as good as the X, if not better! :p

EDIT:

Just love the macro shots, they just look so "natural" compared to other phone cameras imo:
