***The Official HTC One Thread***

I just realised if I turn the brightness down really low, I get a stuck pixel... but turning the brightness to at least 25% seems to fix it . I'll leave it for now since I usually have my brightness set at 45%...

Guys please help -

It says "tampered" above my boot loader?! What does this mean?

My phone won't boot past the white start up screen, how can I put the rom on the sd card now?!

I can get into Team Win Recovery but don't know what to do from here? Have I ruined my phone? It says when I try to reboot - No OS installed!

First time rooting i've got the ROM i want, do i unzip then copy to my phone or put the zip file in the phone?

Wow after getting my phone back from repair, and saying nothing is wrong with it i have discovered they have broken the microphone. No-one can hear my in calls anymore..

What an absolute bunch of jokers..

Currently in the install phase of the latest stock. Finally decided to do it :p

Belloni, can you get it to the bootloader screen?

If so, follow the instructions in the Android RevHD thread, and there are a few videos that are very useful from near there!

edit: Running 2.17.401.1!! No more waiting for three and their terrible excuses.

For the recovery, I used the Clock Work Mod, as it was on the tool I was using & I have seen it used many times before. Very quick and easy.

Hi Ryan,

I think all I need to do is get the ZIP file onto the phone, but I don't know how to?!

Since it doesn't get recognised by the computer so I can't drag and drop etc.

There is the sideloading method as mentioned there. I've only been with android for about 2 month now, so i'm not too expert with it :p

When mine did what yours did, I managed to get it to reboot by selecting fast boot, and then flashing the CWM recovery onto it. Drop the zip file on the phone (anywhere you want on it), and find it once you get CWM running.

Found it pretty easy to root / install custom ROM really, just read the instructions & if you don't understand read them again & watch some YouTube videos. Certainly easier than I thought it was going to be! Been running trickdroid 7.5.0 for a while now & it is perfect. Sadly PA has some really bad stuttering & the camera is a complete joke compared to HTCs stock.

I stuck with HTC's stock as I really like it, and I now really love it with 4.2.2! The notifications bit is amazing, but when I turn off animations, they don't stay off it seems.

It's okay. We can still fix this. All we need to do is sideload the zip.

On PC or Mac

1. Download the Android SDK HERE or Download Files Located below.

2. Place files on Desktop.

3. Enter Terminal or Console

4. Go to your desktop by entering

cd /Users/<username>/Desktop

The <username> is your unique information.

I've found the above guys, but confused with the <username> part and my unique information? Is this the Rom?

Has the HTC One received an official OS update to 4.2.2? As its one of the phones on my list but not sure about the fact its got an older build of Android?

I'm trying to use the command to side load the zip is on my desktop but it says it can't find it?!

I'm on a mac and using - ./adb sideload Android_Revolution_HD-One.11.0.zip Is this correct?!

It's what the latest ARHD is based on. He has a link to it in the thread. I don't know when it is officially out though.

They came with 4.1.2 due to 4.2 not being very stable (supposedly?), but I'm guessing this phone will be kept upto date with android releases for quite some time.

So people on ARHD, Anyone noticed any ill effects? anything negatives compared to stock?

This is my first Android phone so very new to it all, Most I've done in the past is jailbroke a Iphone and Itouch. It looks to be about the same difficulty wise (ie not very) to get this ARHD working.

The extra little features like holding the home button for menu would be great.

That is on the stock 2.17 update too. Holding the home button can be either menu, and sliding up from the home is Google search, or the opposite.

If ARHD is anything like Trickdroid then there should be no ill effects just only nice tweaks & addons.
