What's wrong with it?

Some people think it's in the wrong place but other than that it does the job. :)

It's in completely the wrong place, the top left is by far the worst place to possibly have put it. Also, the button doesn't actually protrude from the top of the phone so you actually have to push your finger into the hole to power it on.

This is why I asked. Mine protrudes and it is supposed to. Some people have reported this. If you're bothered about it you may be able to get it swapped.

Tried to get a picture of mine, it's so close to being completely level with the body of the phone.

Mine protudes a tad more as well, just enough to find it in the dark. If it really bothers you then get a replacement if possible.

As for the position, I agree at first it does feel strange for it to be in the top left corner, but after a couple of days I've gotten completely use to it. Probably because my Nexus 10's power button is around the same place as well when held landscape...

Sorry to hear that.

Is it the commonly reported problem of a gap between the screen and the speakers, or are they not even at the same level?

It's a shame that a top level phone like this appears to be having so many quality control issues.
