***The Official HTC One Thread***

your post prompted me to take a look and there does appear to be an issue. Reading the reviews pointed me to the poetic website

http://www.yourpoetic.com/p/435/poetics-atmosphere-case-for-the-htc-one-m7

Where they say they are aware of the issue and should have a new 'fixed' batch, I have now emailed poetic as well to see if they can organise a replacement as mentioned on the site linked to above.

Thought I would share in case anyone else has a similar problem

Funniliy enough, I contacted Peotic about both my grey/clear and white/clear yesterday. Pics below on the peeling if anyone wants to see:

They replyed in a matter of a few hours, and just requested my order number and pictures of the defects. They then sent a very quick reply stating:

Dear Buyer,

Thank you for the update. We have continually improved upon this case and will be shipping a replacement from our most up to date batch tomorrow with the USPS tracking number: *** and ***. Also, due to the time and costs of a return, we have decided to make an exception and you are welcome to keep the defective unit as well. Please let us know if you have any questions.

**** from Poetic

Very good customer service from them :). Hopefully these "updated" ones won't start peeling as fast as the ones I had...

Poetic seem to have issues with many 1st batch cases but also seem to have excellent customer care and let folk keep the 1st case, some research on appropriate glues might be in order so you have spare cases available.

I saw the red HTC One in the flesh today in P4U and it already ships with 4.2.2

It looked really nice and I was pleasantly surprised.

Just purchased myself a HTC One. Huzzah.

Can anyone recommend me a dock for the desk (just for charging really) and also, which NFC tags are best? Do I need the higher capacity 1k ones?

Ive just discovered a purple smudge mark about the size of half a 5p coin on my phone screen. No idea why it has happened - anyone ever have something similar? Would HTC process this as a warranty claim? And also what is HTC's policy on dead pixels?

My One is playing up a bit - ring volume gone very low even with the slider at max and sometimes when woken up its gone onto silent by itself.

I would like to try a hard reset to see if that cures it but I can't work out how to do a back up. I go to backup & reset and there is only my gmail account available - I can't enter any other account other than a google account. I check my google account and there is no previous backups on there.

I've been using Google Maps Navigation on my One, but the volume of the voice nav is really quite low in comparison to what the HO is capable of. The volume is right up but not loud at all. Any ideas please folks? ta!

That sounds to me like a 'pressure' problem, which is probably internal.

There are a number of similar apps entitled 'Dead Pixel Test' which I have found useful, but personally I would be returning mine if I found so much as one single dead pixel, as we are looking at a very expensive top of the range phone here.

You don't say how long you have had your phone, or if you have had a chat with the supplier yet, but if you got it from one of the 'big boys' then I think you should definitely be looking at a repair, or more hopefully be asking for a direct exchange.
