*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I have an unbranded/unlocked One X on the way, and just wondering if you get OTA updates for these, or do you have to hack it on there?

I've got a unbranded unlocked One X and have had one OTA update so far, however there was another one released yesterday, I'm waiting to get that one.

Ahhh... it's good to be home :D

Quick question,

How do I remove words from the dictionary/predictive text on my phone?

A few times, I have typed something wrong, pressed backspace, then space (or something along those lines) and it has saved them to the dictionary. So now if I type 'lok' instead of 'lol', it doesn't correct it as it sees 'lok' as a word

Any ideas?

He's got a ROM though, see the notification bar!

Indeed, it's the CM9 port from here. I'm amazed at how well it runs to be honest. The only thing stopping me from using it as a daily driver is the data connection, which is rather unreliable. But other than that the only issue I could find is the lack of wifi hotspot.

Really can't understand how this guy has managed to get such a well-functioning AOSP ROM out so fast. Everyone else on XDA is still bumming about with HTC-based ROMs.

There should be a "personal dictionary" in language and input section.

Tried IVONA but it keeps crashing my OneX. It tries to check voice files are ok (or something like that) and then makes the phone completely unresponsive.

I uninstalled it and its back to normal.

I had the same. The second time I attempted installing it, I managed to set IvonaTTS as the voice and tested it on google Maps. Going back into the settings for TTS voice selection causes that menu page to keep refreshing eventually freezing up the phone

what's a cpu fanboy then robbo?

People who are convinced a certain CPU is better for whatever reason when actually, it isn't. There are people with Tegra signatures for example! :p

Paul@Modaco has just tweeted that he's been using the AT&T One X over the past couple of weeks and said it's generally faster, smoother and has better battery life. He's releasing a proper comparison tomorrow.

Would it work outside of the US?
