brightness of screen?

Was the Wifi or mobile data connection on constantly or turned off when not in use and if so how long for?

So, I logged into my T-Mo portal, and checked the upgrades section. I am on a £7.50pm contract (upped to £12.50 as I needed more minutes), and I am not due an upgrade until August 2012, technically.

This happens...

GIEF.

Went to pick one up at CPWH, and had to pay £30 rather than £20 (because T-Mo did not have it in white, which I wanted, and the CPWH ones are unlocked, vs. T-Mo locked handsets).

HAPPY :D

Also, I thought that would extended the contract to August 2014 - i.e. two more years after the end of the existing contract. However, my T-Mo portal now says "your contract is due for renewal in February 2014"?!

Unsure what has happened there, but won't be complaining!!! :D

They want £279 off me to upgrade. I am out of contract and pay £18/month. They seem to hate people on the old Friends&Family deal (1/2 price rental for life). I shall await till the S3 is out then phone them.

Ive been with Tmobile for 7 years now and every single time, I was checking upgrades online, it was giving me silly prices for new mobiles...not as we can see above...
strange...

Its amazing the £19.99 deal.

Best deal i can get for Free phone is to pay £31 a month with T-Mobile Cancellations Dept. and ive been with T-Mobile for about 5 - 6 years and always had a contract price between £25/30.

And that was

600 XNet Mins
Unlimited Txt
Unlimited Browsing
750mb Downloads
3GB BT openzone.

I did ask the guy to explain the unlimited web vs 750 Data(downloads) he didn't make much sense.

Anyone know how they official differentiate between Web/Download especialy when it comes to tethering?

Im on an old Flext plan which ive rolled over a few years so i get 3GB Data right now.

I am on a 15 quid odd a month contract that i regularly spend 30 a month on. 24 month contract ends this month yet they want 280 to upgrade me too. Dunno if he just gets some kind of staff/family discount or if it was just a bug lol.

All i know is that with t-mob offering me such a **** upgrade, i will be moving to 3 when my contract ends.

Just had another check, make that £289. Way to go t-mob, retain those customers lol.

Ring them up and see what they can do for you??...in my 10 yrs with Tmo i have never ever bothered to do an online upgrade. You will get more luck calling them and asking them what they are going to do to keep you.

For instance, ive had a £10pm 24mth contract for a few yrs now, it ended a few weeks ago so called Tmo up, said i wanted the One X and asked whats the best they can do. The guy said stay on your current contract for another 24mths and you can have the phone for £40 upfront cost. I jumped and went for it, went next day to pick up my phone from my local tmo store. Granted i only get 100mins, unlimited texts and 500mb internet but i hardly use that line other than the odd browsing, streaming etc.

So give them a call in the morning, the worst they can say is no you have to pay £280 or they could just give you the phone for free depending on your contract.

If you're spending £30 a month why not go on a £30 contract, the phone would surely be free then.

30ish %

Mobile data would've been constantly connected.

Pretty happy with the battery life now I know I can unplug it at 6-7am and it will last through to the next morning. Which does come in handy.

Mobile data will not have been connected if you were connected to a Wifi network. This is why battery life rockets up when you connect and leave WiFi on all day as opposed to not.

Really annoying that people are getting 1.29 and I'm still on 1.26 with O2

Anyone on O2 had any updates?? Or is there a way for me to install an update myself??

Would really like the improved battery life lol

Well tahts the plan, but if i am gonna upgrade my contract to a 30 a month odd, may aswell be with 3 as the contracts are a lot better than the t-mob equivalents :)

In my enthusiasm jumped right in and tried to root the phone. Coming from an E51 would seem i bit off more than i could chew;)

Was following the steps here http://www.androidauthority.com/one-x-root-unlock-bootloader-custom-recovery-all-in-one-tool-80255/

So my bootloader says it's unlocked, and the clockwork recovery is installed. Lost all the contacts and apps that weren't pre-installed, had it all backed up though.

Phone is working fine, but i don't think i have root access - at least the root checker app i tried says i don't. What have i done/not done:confused:

Bad news for the rooting/modding crowd... seems HTC are taking a harsh line on warranty replacements for phones with unlocked bootloaders:

Pretty ridiculous tbh and apparently it's against the law. They can't flat out decline to repair a phone unless they can prove the damage was caused by running a custom ROM. Not very impressed.
shocking

I never had Wifi on at all, have no internet connection here yet. **** you Sky! :(
