*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I took this quick video using the Camera ICS+ off the market, was shaking like hell mind lol, but it shows the frame rate is fine and it double the bit rate and you can even triple it.

But its enough to show me its only a issue with the htc side of things which can be fixed, not that you will see the high bit rate because of youtube but it comes out at 2060kbps, but only records mono so far unless there is a option I missed.

I am sorry but to me personally that video looks jerky esp when you start to move the camera over the garden , maybe just me but that dont look smooth

They all look like that when you move the camera unfortunately, but the One X has an issue aside from that where things can be jerky even if the camera is stationary. Jabbs' video seems to alleviate that quite a bit.

HTC can likely sort it themselves with a software update, and perhaps make it even better.

I doubt HTC will fix that though, as I said in the other thread this trait has been there on all HTC phones since they started recording in HD and they were never fixed on those handsets!

As an addition, the jerkiness extends to metering where the sensor raises and lowers the light level in steps instead of smoothly like on Sony Ericsson/Samsung (and others) phones.

Well, XDA could fix/improve it then if HTC don't. :)

Generally the quality/smoothness has been fine on the few videos I've taken, not really much of a difference between it and the Galaxy S 2 when watching it back on the phone itself.

I wonder if the S3 will be much better than the S2!

I've not been keeping up with this thread so I must ask: is this screen flickering issue a hardware or software fault?

There's a thread on XDA where a spokesperson has said that they know what's causing it and will release a fix ASAP, but no word on if that's hardware or software.

I just got my replacement as the first one had that issue, touch wood no problems.

For the few occasions I use the video its fine for me using the ics one, the camera side on pictures is spot on though, I have no doubt someone over at xda will sort it out lets be honest the sensation was bad on release but they have done wonders over there with that one.

Aren't those pretty much well known by now :p

Although I have switched from "WCDMA only" to "GMS only" now to see if that makes a difference at all and I think it just might as my voice reception is stronger now! I mostly use wifi so really don't need to have "WCDMA only" option selected unless I am out and about and even then I very rarely use the mobile data connection unless I am sitting somewhere having something to eat so.... :p

Have enabled auto-brightness myself as well now as I haven't actually used it at all properly since I got my S :p

Too good to be true? Found a seller on Amazon selling these brand new and sealed for £440 + £5 delivery, and they come with Dr Dre Monster headphones (a quick google reveals these to be worth over £100)

The seller has 95% positive from 2000 ratings.

It's probably legit.

I can't decide whether to go with this phone or the S3 - Do you think the battery life will be much better on this or the S3? Since with the 2 being so closely specced, that really is the only thing that matters to me with either one.
