Everything working bar wifi hotspot? Good progress!

Uses stock ICS camera and that doesn't seem to work that well it can be slow to laod and such

Couple of quick questions.

1. How do I switch launchers?
2. Why does Go SMS not show profile pics? I have set it to use FB! Other 3rd party ones don't either.
3. Best gallery?

Just install a launcher from the Play Store, try Apex.

Not sure about 2.

The default gallery seems fine?

For point 1.

Download Go launcher (or similar) from Google Play & install, it will ask you when you push your home button which one you want to keep as your default.

you will need to download some stuff to go with it though (as I remember anyway), I think the HTC clock etc. is gone with launchers.

Yup all HTC widgets can't be used with 3rd party launchers but can be replaced with alternatives, which in some cases are better. Android pro widgets is great along with fancy widgets, snowstorm weather, palmary weather, pure grid calendar etc.

Apex and GO ex are the best, go has more features overall and its own widgets, which are excellent IMO but apex has the stock ICS feel and some nifty little features as well.

Also if you want to switch between launchers but have set one as default, go to settings>apps> the launcher that you chose as default and click on it then click on "clear defaults" This will give you the choice as to what launcher to use when the home button is pressed.

2. seems to be a problem with sense I think.

3. Stock gallery easily, only alternative is quick pic, but you don't have any of the damn cool/useful editing features of the sense gallery

Go to Settings > Apps > Apex and reset it (can't remember exactly what the button says).

Then when you next press the home button you'll get the option to select a default one again.

Dont know if its already been asked, but how do i turn off the annoying notification noises when it switches between 3G & H / Wifi.

Its starting to get really annoying.

There is a YouTube video of all the launchers, search for "One X launchers "

It seems to require the extra menu bar at the bottom as it hasn't been optimised for ICS

Don't bother with it.

It is carp! The developer has abandoned it completely and therefore won't be optimized for ICS.

Go ex and apex and any other launcher for that matter are far better for speed, features etc.

Does anybody's screen on their One X have this "flex" issue. Where it ripples under your finger?

On the left side of mine, just a normal touch causes it to do this. It happens all the way from the top to the bottom.

Having searched around it appears its a manufacturing defect with the screen not being set properly.

No mate. Mine is rock solid.

I would take it back as faulty

If I press down really hard on either side of the screen right at the edge there's a little bit, but unless it's particularly potent it's not considered a fault.

Unfortunately there are a lot of screen problems it seems.

Thought so, I will go into Carphone Warehouse again. The right side only does under pressure, but the left, like I said, a normal touch causes it. Just noticed it also does in some central parts of the screen too, I guess I have a bad one.

Indeed, they should replace it with no issues. It's definitely faulty. The screen components aren't bonded together correctly.

Anyone know when the rest of the official HTC cases are coming out for this? Just all the 3rd party ones look a bit gash.

Yes, all of the HTC widgets aren't available if you use a different launcher. Sucks really.
