*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Mine arrived today, love it. Haven't seen or read all of the issues but mine doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it. Having had a Desire before, Sense has come a long way. Is it worth ditching it just yet?

It's up to you really. I'd say it's worth keeping as all of the widgets and such are quite nice. I assume you mean the launcher and not Sense in its entirety?

Just load up apex launcher and see for yourself.

That deal.

Great deals starting to arrive ^^ likely down to imminent S3 release ?

On another note, has anyone come across an issue with email ?
I have 7 POP accounts (and a Hotmail) set up in the email client, and have them all set to Manual sync. However, often first thing in the morning, I find a load of emails have downloaded onto the phone (spread across the accounts) ! Generally, I only retrieve emails when away from home (i.e. in the working day etc.) hence setting up for Manual, but the HOX seems to ignore this setting - any thoughts ?

Darn it, that could take me away from getting an S3! 500Mb data should be fine, it's what I have at the moment and never really get near it, but any idea if they would do an add-on for another 500Mb if I need it??

£5 for 500meg from Voda.

I'm very tempted by the deal. I have 6 months left on my TalkMobile 12 month contract. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. I could sell my phone for £230 and use than to pay off the remaining 6 months of my contract (£180), leaving me free to get the One X and £50 in my pocket. I really like 12 month contracts :)

What do people think of this idea?

Go for it, the £230 deal is great and might not be around for long!

That's what I thought. It's no real additional cost to me.

Can I get the deal now and then get the PAC code from TalkMobile in a week or so then use it? Not sure how PAC codes normally work as I usually just get a new number.

Order placed :)
The good thing about 12 month contracts is 6 months in your phone is normally worth more than the remainder of your contract.

Got my third One X today, screen seems okay but its not playing ball with the sim card, it flashes up "Sim card not detected" every 5 minutes or so. Signal drops out like crazy as well.

The notification LED doesn't seem right either, can see light coming through the gap between the screen and the top of the phone.

Back to Carphone Warehouse again tomorrow :(.
