*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I'm not sure, I only used it once ages ago.

I just installed Chrome (usually use Firefox) and did it all via there with the default settings and it was okay.

That link loads for me (on FF).

Just to add (skim reading all of the arguments on XDA), the One X camera seems to be better as well.

Yeah the photos taken by the X looked better to me as well, especially the HDR shots, don't know how people think the GS 3 shots look better.......

But as said the lighting was different, which makes a massive difference so can't base too much on them.

EDIT:

And as I said in the other thread, don't judge the battery life using gsmarena's "test" :p

5 hours more video watching seems a bit over the top to be honest.

Especially as the rest is so close.

Link won't load for me, what the fudge. Anyone know why? I've tried firefox and chrome.

Robbo, considering my current deal on my desire doesn't run out until August what would you do?

I think this is a great deal as I can potentially, get a 12 month contract, sell the phone after 12 months and then pick up another one.

I'd do everything I can to get it. The One X will blow your Desire out of the water and then some. It's so much better.

Having said that, I'm extremely impatient so probably not the best person to ask! :p

In 12 months, the next HTC/Samsung phones will be on the verge of release and the new iPhone will be out too, so you'll be able to pick from any of those. Sounds good. ;)

It could be 5 hours for video...... for all we know they could have been playing/looping a video that doesn't have many bright colours and has a lot of black/dark scenes and as we both know, AMOLED screens consume very little/no power whatsoever on dark/black colours.

Thanks a lot but can you happen to seal the deal on quidco? I can't find it anywhere, I'll see if the link works on my mac :/

Yeah, in which case it's still not a particularly fair test as it will vary from video to video! Also the Tegra3 has been horribly optimised by HTC so that's not helping things like the battery tests.

I'm expecting them to fix all of this in future, they did sort of rush the phone out pretty quickly so I can forgive them for that. :p

I'm really not sure what to suggest, just keep trying different browsers etc.

Right, I'm sorry to harp on but I'm so so confused.

When I click on go to deal on quidco it just links me to the phone as if I had googled it.

When I search for vodafone and phones4u on quidco, I can't find the deals either.

Someone please help me, I'm ready to order now :(

P.s - The links work on my mac.

It should take you there as if you've Googled it, it uses a tracking cookie to detect when you order and then logs it in the Quidco site.

Forgot Vodafone, go via Phones4U, you're getting it from them, not Vodafone.

Here's the P4U page on Quidco: http://www.quidco.com/phones4u/

Go via the link to P4U on there and order it. I can see the deal on the P4U site now.

That's all you do, go to quidco, search phones4u, follow link for new contract phone, search on phones4u for HTC One X, buy phone. Email will appear from quidco that you have a track credit. Then wait, quidco take the first £5, Alternatively go to Topcashback and save the £5.

All I can see on the HTC deals side is here...

There's this one but I thought it was £50 not £70?

''Free HTC One X + £70 cashback''

I did this deal with quidco yesterday at 2.30pm and no sign of it yet in my account activity.
