*** The official HTC One X thread ***

SRSLY? The HOX stumbles on music playback? Considering it's a Beats handset HTC better get that fixed asap or it could be a bit embarrassing. I assume it's not a really widespread issue as not many have brought it up.

Yeah, it's obviously not a big issue as mine has never done it and I've played a lot of music on it (probably over 10 hours worth).

I've also never seen it mentioned until now!

I think mine did this for a few days. It almost sounded like there were silent notifications being played, interrupting the music slightly. Not noticed it recently though.

I've never used the built in music player i've always used Google Music, only bug i've i've noticed in the music playback department is "Mediaserver" bugging out and draining the battery.

I use mine for at least four hours of music every day and I've never had an issue with music play back.

Same with mine, i use my HOX quite a bit for my mp3s on my way to and from work and never had this issue.

The funniest thing is that my iphone4 suffered from this issue, every so often it would start playing my music really fast ot it would stutter horrendously until i rebooted the phone.

But touch wood my HOX hasnt suffered from any music playback issues yet.

Yes that media server thing is always taking up 30% of battery when im listening to Podcasts.

I installed Leedroid and that ASOP them Andy make a vide of , LOVE it ! :)

Got my HTC one X and really liking it. Surprised how big it was though!

But for now, as I can't be bothered to go through 50+ pages of posts, can someone please tell me what the general consensus is regarding:

-Essential Apps
-Rooting/different ROMs
-Decent cases

Thanks,

Well it has happened, I have a small sratch on the screen about 2 inches long.

Anyone know of any places that will replace the glass over the screen or where I can get one?

I dont really want to use the phone at all now, as the mark can be seen when using the phone.

Usually it's not possible to replace just the glass on the front the whole screen unit will probably need replacing.

He didn't say what caused it... he could have tried to saw the phone in half for all we know.

I'm still convinced I won't scratch a (decent) screen as I look after my phone, if/when I get a scratch I'll be sure to let you know! :p

I've had a Gorilla glass equipped phone for over 2 years (SGS1 and 2) and without a screen protector and never damaged the screen.

Anyone encountered the SD space issue that people are talking about over on XDA?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25990789

Hoping HTC will release a bumper mega bugfix update...

I've had it where windows would complain that the SD card on the phone had damaged files on it and 1GB of space was also missing. I moved everything i wanted to keep of the sd card and formated and it's been fine since.

I have never had gorilla glass, a screen protector or a case on any of my previous phones and have never scratched the screen or the body of the mobile either! But it still does not mean that it will never happen, it can very easily happen by just one tiny piece of grid/sand in your pocket or if you where to accidentally dropped the mobile and it slid along the gravel outside or something.

What the most popular music player for an android device these days? I don't know how people are using Google Music in the UK

Still power amp? Also if Google Music is good, how do you get it in the UK? Is it worth it?
