*** The official HTC One X thread ***

How did you do that?

To be honest, I have no idea how it happened. I was using the phone last night and it was fine and I give it a clean this morning and noticed the mark. So it must have happened when I was wiping the screen. I reckon it was a small bit of grit from my hand as I used it after I washed the car yesterday.

I look after all my phones very well, so this is really driving me mad.

I am going to call HTC tomorrow and see how much it will cost to fix, but if it costs to much then its getting sold or thrown in the cupboard. :(:(:(

Well it has happened, I have a small sratch on the screen about 2 inches long.

Sorry to hear that. Thats why I never really rated Gorilla Glass™, too many stories of people scratching their iPhones 4.

All these videos on YouTube scratch tests (with keys and knifes) yet a little bit of grit can scratch the screen.

The iPhone 4 doesn't have Gorilla Glass. :p

Well I have ordered a zagg screen protector, as they seem good at hiding sratches which are already there.

£13 for a cover, so I hope it's good!

Not sure if you'll like the Zagg or not. It has a orange peel affect which most people don't like. Also its quite rubbery, so when scrolling it's not as smooth as scrolling on the glass.

Yeah I read that, but I shall see.

I so mad about this it's unreal, as it's a costly phone to have sitting about in the drawer if this doesn't work.

Lets hope HTC dont take the ass out of it for a replacement screen.

I'm not having much luck getting a good One X handset, I think today I got my 8th or 9th and this one also has problems. The volume down button is sunk into the side of the phone (really have to push hard to get it to respond, no click or anything either) and it has some flickering pixels, with a yellow spot in the bottom left hand corner.

The others had assorted problems like dead pixels, dust and marks under the glass, yellow smudges near the top of the screen, cracks in the back of the phone.

I think the Carphone Warehouse shops near me have a bunch of bad ones in stock or something.

Really not having much luck at all!

I feel your pain, I managed to drop my phone after a day of getting it. Left a massive dent, good thing the software crashed and wouldn't boot ;) So they replaced it with a new one.

What the most popular music player for an android device these days? I don't know how people are using Google Music in the UK

Still power amp? Also if Google Music is good, how do you get it in the UK? Is it worth it?

1) Don't know.

2) Oh.

3) Don't know.

4) Usually through a proxy the first time of use, then download the apk.

5) Erm, not to me, I use Spotify

Has anyone used parts4repair?

I see they have the digitizer for sale at £36, but I can't find a single site on how to replace it.

Just worried it may be fake.

It hard to tell if the front cover is removable there :(

I think it might be a HTC job, as I really dont want to bin the phone for a dam scratch.

Is it really that bad that it needs binning? Have you got a picture of it? Don't want you to think I have a potential fix or anything, just interested in seeing it, to see how badly gorilla glass can get scratched
