*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Anyone have a link for a decent screen protector, all ones i've come across are either too small or don't even stick to the phone.

I also just purchased a Case-Mate Barely There case in glossy white for £15. This is the most i've paid for a case but it's worth the money if you want to protect your phone unlike the cheap gel cases. Has all the cut outs the right size, but doesn't cover the top or bottom of the phone, only the corners. Though the glossy white may not suit everyone, I might change it to the black myself as it looks a bit too plasticky for my liking.

I was just about to ask this, I got some cheap ones off ebay and they are good but don't stick to the edge of the phone where it's curved. All the other ones I've seen are expensive and I want to know they're decent before I buy ha! :)

Really not enjoying 1.29.401.7... please tell me .11 is better?

What screen protector are you guys using? Is the Martin Shields one any good?

I did set it to turn the wifi off when idle/sleep

Will have a look at that now

Thanks

"Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" What does everyone else have theirs set to?

Install a program called a free "Power Saver Settings" There is a hidden wifi option in there but not tried it....

I ordered a GadgetShieldz one but not got it yet as its international post.... $8.99 delivered from their website.

Is there a bug with the video recording on this phone? I'm just asking as I have seen a few videos online where the fps drop or the image stutters, I am wondering if they fixed it with an update? I am interested in this phone or the GS3 but if the video is stuttery it's a deal breaker for me.

It could be improved upon in future (hasn't been currently), but the video recording on the GS3 is better (though not in low light).

Whoop, my One X was posted on eBay overnight and has already sold. Demand for these phones is high... higher than any other handsets I've sold over the past year.

Can anyone help with this, I have my lock screen set to productivity and under settings I have it set to not take calender entries from facebook. But its still showing birthdays from facebook.

Any ideas how to stop that, as I don't care if someone I know but haven't spoken to in years is having a birthday today and its annoying me.

I have also turned facebook off the calender widget and that's working fine, but the lock screen isn't.

Just installed S Voice which is for the SGS3 on my One X and it works like an absolute dream.

Even though its meant for the Galaxy 3, if you do say hi galaxy, the app still works on the One X. Been playing around with it and so far ive asked what the height of Mt Everest is, it came back with the right answer...ive asked what the weather is like today, again came back with the right answer and also asked for tomo and again its come back with the right answer:p.

The link was posted up in the essential android app thread by martin9887, link is here if anyone wants to give it a bash: http://db.tt/0jbbK8O0

Brilliant for passing some time and is very 'siri' like:p

rogueblade, are you on 1.29.401.7 or 1.29.401.11?

I am on the former, and I'm finding the battery life worse after upgrading from 1.28 :(

Doesn't work great for me, network errors etc.

hyip001,
how is the Case-Mate Barely There fillting, I used to use them on previous htc phone and found them to fit realy well, then I used one on my Google Nexus and to be honest the fit was dissapointing, I thought it may be the case so I got a second one but still no good.

I've got the htc equivalent on my One X at the moment and it seems ok but the grip could be a little better.

I get that sometimes but usually it works...its a bit slow i find though and sometimes crashes out on me. But otherwise its pretty neat, suppose it works better on the SGS3 for which it was made.
