*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Had a play with the One X in CPW in London today, far nicer than i thought it would be. Feels light but not as light as my SG2, felt more solid though. The screen put my SG2s to shame, and the camera took some great photos, the ability to take pics while recording video was pretty neat as was the stereo sound while recording. The one I was messing around with had approx 25% batt left and had been used quite a bit, taking photos, BT and wifi on web browsing etc and was last put on charge around 22 hrs before I got my hands on it, dont think the battery for normal use will be an issue.

I seen it on a sites I was looking at, also there is videos on youtube and they don't look that amazing.

Hands on below but the phone itself looks nice.

And for Jubei a comparison of this and the note in action

Cheers mate, that just made it even harder because imo the note looks so much better lol. Am a heavy browser/streamer on my phone and that big screen looks like it would be excellent lol.

Is there any info on the tegra 3 vs sgs2 etc for games n such as seen no benchmarks for gaming performance. Heard tegra was not very good compared to the dual cores but whats the graphics portion of it like?

As for the video ability in it, couldnt care less as i dont use my phone for video recording lol

Tegra 3 vs Exynos 4210 (SGS2) are pretty evenly matched CPU (though twice the theoretical processing power for the tegra - where is it used or noticed?) and GPU wise.

WOW. Need to see this!

It looks amazing to be honest, couldnt take it outside to try in sunlight, prob thought i might of run off with it:D Its sharper, better colours, and of course its just a little bit bigger, very impressed. As for the video i didnt see an issue with the playback stuttering on the one i was playing with, perhaps the FW was a bit newer in this one?

man looking at the sample above that is real shame. Im not a heavy user of recording but when i lay down a good chunk of cash for a phone it has to the best.

It cant be a hardware thing surely! Im hoping it gets fixed like the problem with the Galaxy S and the phone volume bug

Yours comments are helpful. Seems great and should be an improvement over the SGS2 in certain aspects.

Biggest improvement was using sense and not having touchwiz on the phone :D Im sure the GS3 when it comes out will be the better phone in pure HW specs but I have a feeling that Samsung are just trying to do an Apple with SG3, and may miss the mark. The One X sure felt better than my SG2, dear i say it felt more iPhone like than many other android phones ive tried as late.

Nice, did you manage to test the audio quality? TouchWiz is fine but just fugly! Sense is good though and with the additional power it seems smooth compared to previous versions. What colour was it?

HTC dev community is just as good as the devs on the SGS2 section so should see plenty of custom roms.

I used the white one mostly, but they had the black (ish) one as a dummy unit, the camera lense stickyout bit(tm) was less obvious on the black model but the white one did make it look more like an apple product though. The camera lense stickyout bit(tm) was only a few mm at most out of the case, i would expect once you had a case on the back it would be level with the case back.

^ Just don't look at Basemark ES 2.0 benchies :p http://results.rightware.com/site/front_page

Nice one, did they have the One S too?

Yeah looked a nice phone TBH, but i wanted to play with the X though sorry. Was slightly annoyed as at first the bloke was going to let me get one today, but i went off for lunch and he'd gone home, and the girl wouldnt let me have it :(

Only the touchwiz launcher is fugly. Which everyone should know can be replaced to look exacty how you want, with for example GO launcher.
