*** The official HTC One X thread ***

I've noticed every single morning I have no data connection for some reason.

I check better battery stats and notice it's being off for over 7 hours, since like half 2 in the morning, I went to sleep at about 11:30 so I never turned it off.

It is the technology "Curse-of-the-Next-Big-Thing".....everyone has migrated to the S3 thread :p
....Ironic, given Samsung's pre-release sheep-based advertising :D

In all seriousness, not much has happened in HOX world for a short while, so....

I understand the need to move to new tech, but most still own the HOX same as they did a few weeks ago.

I'd argue there is plenty going on with the device, it's just more software-based than hardware issues right now. Look at the N7 thread - it's all people with problems, not actually talking about the device.

I've unfortunately jumped ship to the S3, as good as the One X is, the S3 is better by a considerable margin. :(

I'm still not convinced by that, but there you go :) I'm sure it's a capable phone, but try as I might I just can't abide that hardware. I was the same with the Nexus S unfortunately. Shame, as I know it's going to mean I miss out on some Nexus devices from time to time, too.

Convinced by what? What parts of the hardware do you mean?

I edited the confused part. ;) :p

It's just the design then, nothing else?

;)

Really, it's just the actual shell more than anything else. I suppose you could call it the 'industrial design' if you wanted to be all precious about it :) That's why I liked the One X - it feels sturdy and more premium than your average Samsung jobby. The HD7 was the same.

I'd agree the One X design is going to be considered better by most people, they've done something different instead of being 'safe' like Samsung have.

When I refer to it being considerably better, I'm talking about when you take all factors into account (as an owner of both phones, this is easy).

Not sure if this problem has been brought up. My HTC One X cannot hold a WiFi signal!?!? I have it right next to my iPhone 4S, and my laptop and PC, they are all fine but my HTC One X is not holding the WiFi signal, it goes to the one bar then drops... any ideas?

Why when I turned my phone back on after charging had my home screen reset and I have a totally different layout for messages and some friend stream stuff where my music player used to be??? Is this an update?

Is the One X a big enough jump from the Sensation for me to want to jump into an 18 month contract with one in October, or should I just GiffGaff it up for a few months and wait for the next 'big thing'?

I've made that jump after the screen on my sensation stopped responding. Literally only just turned up but it seems pretty nice so far.

Just running the system update on mine, think it said it was 1.29 - Is that the latest one now?

Also, any ideas how long it actually takes to apply? It's been sat on the installing screen for quite a while.

hmmm I have a desire HD, contract is up on saturday

I really cannot decide between this and the galaxy 3!! I do love the build quality of my desire HD

although I could just wait until iphone is released and see if that pushes prices down for premium android handsets

I personally went from the Desire HD to the Galaxy Nexus and after using a stock Google handset I doubt I'll ever go back to a HTC or Samsung customised version.

After selling my old phone to CEX it only ended up costing me around £190 with another £19 coming from cash back hopefully.
