*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Not 'permanently' lost the signal since the update - which is great news !
Yesterday, for example, was out in the countryside with patchy service - every time the signal dropped, it managed to regain all by itself whereas previously I would have spent all morning going through the Airplane On/Off loop to get it back....
However, battery life (not just yesterday !) has seemingly got worse ?

I'm actually sending my HTC One X back to the e-tailer I bought it from because of the poor WiFi signal. The WAP is literally 12 feet away and it barely catches the WiFi.

The etailer no longer have stock of it and are offering me a full refund on the phone... so do I stick with buying a new one or seeking alternatives???

Has anyone installed the latest (Friday) OTA?

Since installing I've notice that I can no longer reduce the font size to anywhere near as small as it used to be in messaging, and the bootloader (hboot/fastboot/recovery/etc) screen has a font size that would make Mr Magoo proud.

I can't recover from my nandroid backup (well, I can, but it ends up in an endless boot loop - just about reaches my lock screen then reboots) to get back to 4.0.3, but even after recovering the backup, the boot loader screen is still gigantic. :(

Does anyone know the correct RUU for an unbranded european HOX to reinstall 4.0.3?

First proper use today after the update a few days ago. Now it stuck on GPRS even thou the signal is excellent(I have rebooted phone number of times) and the radio's reception is from crystal clear quality to a badly tuned radio station.

Latest hboot (1.12.0000) that came with the OTA is a nightmare for custom ROMs, it appears that it changes a lot of the build and model IDs meaning you have to do a lot of messing about to get anything to install.

Even going back to 4.0.3 (stock ROM from a nandroid backup) was more involving than it should have been, it appears that the boot.img has changed between 4.0.3 and 4.0.4!

I've managed to cause slight dent in the back casing of my phone! I only dropped it once outside accidently(fell out of my pocket while sitting down) and it took a fair beating from that single drop..:(

Another thing that is annoying for me is if you read a newspaper then touch the phone at the back you get ink marks on the phone which is annoying(white phone).
