*** The official HTC One X thread ***

That picture just reminded me about something, do you only get the 25gb dropbox space for the 1st time user of the phone? Mines a refurb and didnt get it when I first logged in.

Which kind of reminded me that I have bought both the One S and X but only got 25gb of storage on Dropbox. Getting the second 'One' did not get me any more storage. Not that I'm bothered as 25gb is enough.

Oh dear.......

Looking like another crappy slightly upgraded version :(

Supposedly tegra 3 chipset :o

Only thing that looks good is the storage, bet you the battery will probably be the same as well.

Why do HTC bother with mobiles like this when they're are barely any different than the "base" mobile?

Indeed, why bother? Possibly slightly faster - though One X is hardly slow in the first place. Double the storage - again 32gb isn't that small though do realize others may beg to differ, more so as there is no external memory card slot.

Where it could do with improving, battery and mobile network reception, it probably is the same old same old. Don't know why HTC bother with this small upgrade unless they think it might improve lack luster sales? That said and apart from signal probs at times I still find the X a great phone :p

Oh - and if it has Jelly Bean, why isn't it being pushed out to current One X's?

Mine arrived the other day.

Grade A refurb in as new condition. Not a mark, scratch or scuff. Purchased it as locked to T-Mobile but the phone I received was unlocked.

Bootloader unlocked, rooted and Viper ROM already flashed :D

Any of you guys running custom kernels? If so, which one and experiences?

Stock kernel for Viper is pretty good. Never felt the need to change. Good battery life and stable to. I'm sure others on here have used others so will advise. Welcome to the One X Viper club :-)

I'd like an SD slot, or at a minimum an exFAT partition you can actually transfer large files to your massive inbuilt storage.

Ideally, I'd want a Krait processor, Adreno 320 graphics, higher capacity battery and a dedicated camera button as well, with a nice 5 inch edge to edge display and no hard buttons.

Right then girls, when you've finished bickering about whether sd slots are cool/uncool/old fashioned/state of the art, can someone please tell me where I can get the rest of these icon....

Thanks!

It kinda baffles me how people can use 32GB on a phone. What do you put on it?

I can't say I miss the SD slots. The bigger problem with this phone is the signal issues with the random drop and reconnect of the mobile signal.

I've been thinking about using a phone as my MP3 player in the future so I'm carrying less equipment around. I am deaf and wear hearing aids. I have a little box of tricks from Siemens that plugs into my iPod and transmits the sound, wirelessly, to my hearing aids. This means I don't need to use headphone cables to my hearing aids that eventually wear out after a couple of months. However the cable between the Siemens box and my iPod tends to wear out itself and I would rather use the ability of the Siemens box to connect to a music source via Bluetooth. So if I had enough space on my phone for my music collection I could connect my phone and the Siemens box via Bluetooth and listen to music without any cables being used. :)

Why not use Google Music, it's not officially supported here but only takes a minute or two to get around that.
