*** The official HTC One X thread ***

hiya in curious. do updates usually include upgraded drivers or not? I'm looking to flash a custom rom but have waited into jelly Bean so im on the latest hboot and drivers. I guess 8 months into the devices life, we should.have had almost still the optimizations and drivers updates well get ?

unfortunately a software update wont give you a better battery :)

I'll let you know, although it does have some power optimization features now that I didn't see before so maybe it will.

I only usually get about 13 hours out of it before it needs to see a plug socket (and that's with light use) so either I have installed a greedy app along the line somewhere or something has gone funny.....

I noticed the much bigger battery drain when I changed router from the superhub to the Asus RT56U so maybe the WiFi has something to do with it!

Anyone on T-Mob had the update yet?

I may revert back to stock soon if it's rolling out. Is removing CWM recovery and going back to stock recovery enough to enable OTA? Currently running an ARHD ROM and I fear I may need to also reflash stock...
Not yet. T-mobile seem to take longer than every other network to release updates. I wouldn't be surprised if we get the update in february or later.

I went from ARHD back to stock T-Mobile following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714

I used process 2 and it was very easy. Flashing the RUU also put it back to stock recovery.

Cheers for that. That's really helpful.

Ah, that's cool. My CID is T-MOB005 so I guess, since it's not unbranded, I'll have to wait a little longer.

Battery looks a little worse for me.

Took it off charge at 2am when I went to bed, battery was 92%. Didn't use the phone again till 10am - it was down to 84% Have used the phone a bit today, nothing excessive, though I have used the GPS a little which I don't normally. Now it's 42% at 11pm.

Previously would have expected about 60% for what I've used today.

have noticed that even overnight when the phone is not in use, the phone repeatedly woke itself up very briefly, and also the wifi was awake though not as often.

Maybe something in the settings has changed? Anyone else noticing this?

Picked up my nice new One XL on Monday from EE on 4G. So nice after my 2.5 year old desire got so restrictive due to internal memory size.

My Cid is showing as ORANG001, don't think i've had the update. I reads Android ver 4.0.4 but HTC Sence 4.1

I'm having a problem trying to get the youtube app to work i just get this each time....

I can't seem to change account details or anything, i didn't have a prob on the old phone.

I uninstalled the youtube update and then i could browse youtube again but then it auto update and i can't do anything again.

Er... Since this update, any internet page will no longer be scrolled to keep the text field in view when typing, is this a common or fixable problem? The keyboard completely hides the area you're typing into, which isn't exactly a desirable feature.
