*** The official HTC One X thread ***

So going for a cheap S2 would be better than getting the One s, you guys think?

Been speaking to Paul from Modaco - I bought his SGS2 previously and he's saying its a worthy upgrade to go for the One X. I don't particularly need an external SD now, since I mainly use Spotify for music and the photos can auto upload to dropbox.

Edit: If you want to buy the SGS2 I can sell for £200 :P

Check your trust :p

Really want this phone and the contract prices seem very tempting. My only concern is the size, currently have a HTC Desire which IMO is a good size but I want that spec!

I'll look at the dummy phones before making the decision.

It's down to what you want mate - all these top end Android phone are great now.

Yup :)

They sure are! Shame it makes the decisions even harder though! :p

I think my mind will be made up when I have a play with them all in the shop and come down to the price/deal as well.

The other great thing with the GS 2 is that it is very well supported by the community at XDA.

You can get a "fat battery" for the SGS2 thats meant to last 5 days. My mate has one.

Entirely down to usage.

You can run that extended battery flat a lot faster than that.

I'd imagine most people aren't away from a charger for very long. Unfortunately battery technology is still behind so we're going to have to put up with charging the phones every day or two for the foreseeable future.

if i was going somewhere long distance, i usualy turn off my phone and only turn it back on for emergencies. thats how crap battery life is on most phones nowadays.

i remember i went to a night club with mates and my phone nearly died before reaching home at around 4am after being away since around 7pm.

shocking battery life these phones are

Been on the phone to T Mobile, they have this from next Thursday in Black.

As an existing customer I can keep my existing contract now @ £15.88 per month with 300 mins, 300 texts + 500MB data for another 24 months and only pay £100 for the phone. Works out the same price as sim-free even with their contract price rise in May :D

Had the same deal with the original Desire two years ago. Gonna root that and give to my brother.

However they are slow at doing Android updates

Looks like HTC pulled it out of the bag with both the X and S. Delighted there back to making good phones.

What are samsung thinking waiting this long... many people like me have simply gone for the One X becuase they havent announced anything. They are going to have to make something really good to beat this.

My delivery date is 11th April i seriously can not wait :D the last time a phone had so many glowing reviews was the GSii

Do either the One S or One X support USB mass storage? Maybe a way to sidestep the lack of SD support.

I'm swithering between the two. I prefer the look of the One S, I think the battery will be better, and the form factor is better. The X will be much better for viewing media on though, so I don't need a tablet.... I reckon if I hear reports that it at least lasts a day (and Techradar exhausted it TWICE within one day on testing), I will probably be swayed by the X.
