***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Nope nothing :) What position do you hold it in for it to lose signal?

The original sensation if I held it like a phone would lose signal at home.

I thought if anything the XE was supposed to improve the signal over the regular Sensation which I have and has no issues (unless I remove the case :p )

My sensation would get no signal at home whatsoever!

You must literally have had it turned off ;)

No, It's turned on, I put it in its box about 4 and a bit days ago, just came to look at it.

I don't use it of course because I'm selling it, hoping to get £170 for it.

Can anyone recommend a new ROM for my Sensation? I did the S-OFF thing a while ago but didn't flash it as the ROMs available didn't seem to be 100% stable.

I'm looking for a ROM with HTC Sense but without Facebook/Twitter etc. integrated in as I'm sure they always run even if you don't want them to. More battery life would also be welcome, not really bothered about the Android version, I'm on 2.3.4 now I think. I've looked on xda forums but not really sure which one I want, what do you guys use? :)

I'm using Android Revolution 6.7.0 which is very stable, its based on the stock HTC rom just with a few tweaks, that means it has FB and Twitter etc but if you don't enter any details they wont be running. I think you can just delete the apk from the zip file before flashing the rom to stop them being installed, ive tried others from aosp to sense 4 roms but keem going back to Android Revolution roms as they just seem to work, you will have to flash your firmware before flashing to the newer roms if your still on 2.3

Is the firmware the version of Android that HTC Sense etc. runs on top of? I have tried doing updates on the phone but it won't update by itself, just get the blue android error.

No I gues the firmware is like a pc bios, it must do something with the system partitions as it required a whole new firmware for ICS over GB, if you S-off'd its really easy to do

To the guys still using the sensation // sensation xe :

Are you still loving them? The mrs has a HTC desire and wants something with a bigger screen - me being a cheap so and so .... ebay a sensation ?
