I don't see any mention of preview. Says released. This is why I'm confused as so many discord channels are talking of them fully running the released version.

I might be missing something but iOS 16 is released which is different from iPad OS 16 which is coming later in October.

Which is funny. One time they used to be the same thing. iOS was iOS and was released the same time across all devices, is all I'm saying.

I am finding performance shockingly smooth on my Xs. Never thought I’d see the day. Too early to talk about battery life yet but given I’ve enabled keyboard haptics I’m sure I’ll take a hit.

The option in photos to lift an object off the background works really well, especially for a first attempt that's baked into the OS. Very clever.

I'm finding the lock screen widgets very underwhelming. You can only add basically two to the small segment at the top of the screen.
Most apps that have been updated to include widgets don't seem to have the option to add any.
I was hoping I could add a few widgets on the lock screen, but that doesn't apparently seem possible.

I’ve set a lock screen photo (portrait) but I just want a standard wallpaper when looking at my desktop when I unlock my phone, am I being really thick but just the standard ones or a different one that I downloaded (hope that makes sense) I just stuck with odd colours and backgrounds…..

I don’t think it’s you being thick unless I’m being thick also. All I can do on my home screen is have it reflect the lock screen, be a colour or gradient or choose a photo from my library. Doesn’t seem to have an option to have the standard backgrounds that come with iOS.

Ah ok well I’m glad I’m not the only one, frustrating really as they’ve taken that option away …. Maybe an update will bring that back if people want

It's even smooth on my IP8. I'm seeing a small decrease of battery life though but it might be collaborating still.
