Notifications keep showing at the bottom of my lock screen, any way to get it back to just displaying under the clock? I've changed the notification 'display as' setting from stack to list but no joy.

I also wondered about that, I believe they are fixed in that position (regardless of list/stack/etc).

Yeah that’s what I’ve started to think which is a shame. Just looks a bit strange to me but I guess it’s something else to get used to.

I really don’t understand it. I’m swiping down for the Notification Centre and then having to swipe up to see older notifications. For me the whole point of notifications is to have them notify me and stand out on the screen. What’s the point of all the blank space? Or am I just using it completely wrong?

Do you not just swipe up directly from the lockscreen then? As opposed to unlocking, swiping down and then up as you say…

I’ll normally pick the phone up with my thumb already on the home button (iPhone 8) so it unlocks and I’d swipe down allowing me to read messages etc. If I’m just quickly glancing it seems a little counter intuitive to also have to swipe up to see extra notifications then just having them on the screen like before.

Maybe it’s just me and I’m not used to it but it doesn’t seem like I’m alone in reading a few comments online.

With new versions of iOS do I not need to 'close' loads of apps down? Last time i was on iOS and recently on android, i'd have to mass close like 10 apps at once after switching between them all.

I can't seem to see any 'open apps' menu.

You haven't needed to 'close' apps on iOS for a long, long time. Doing so actually uses more battery and the apps will be slower to open as they won't be coming out of sleep.

The only time you need to close an app is if it's not responding or behaving weird. Swipe up from the bottom and hold, when you see the app drawer, swipe up on any problematic apps.

I like iOS 16, but finding the inability to customise my existing lock screen and homepage that I pulled across from ios15/14/13/12 rather annoying.
If I want to continue using it, I have to have the really fat clock font, and it’s gross!

Edit: Ignore, I’ve gone and found what I can from wallpaper sites that match my requirement! Still weird it stops you though with the original…

Also, can anyone recommend an adblocker that is not AdGuard? I seem to be the only person in the world where it seems to make safari pages hang. Both on here and other sites… raised it in the new forums update page originally and think I’ve nailed it as being AdGuard being the culprit.
