*** The Official iPad (Early 2012) Thread ***

I guess so :( it's quite a well known issue, so if it hasn't been fixed in 3 years, can't be that bad

I don't think it's a defect/fault. My Macbook Pro does the same. In fact at home I have an electric underblanket in my bed, which when switched on, causes the wall next to the bed to 'buzz'...

I hate that when you charge it, like the iPads before it, you get that weird sensation on the back of it like you can feel the charge

Yeah it's the aluminium, macbook pro does it too, sort of vibrates when you rub it, doesn't it? :p glad it's not just me then haha.

I bought 6 screen protectors as my track record tells me it's either 4th or 5th try I get one on I'm happy with.

I managed to get the first one on to a standard I am very happy with. They are fiddly buggers though.

Just bought one yesterday. This is my first ipad, and looking forward to finding my way round it.
Wonder if my smart TV can pick it up in devices?
Any advantage anyway?

I'm in the same boat my first ipad - Ipad 3 32gb wifi.

I highly recommend anything by donut games and llamasoft - I have pretty much downloaded there catalogue of games

A little app called flip board is also brill it creates a personal daily magazine for you from your interests - really cool.

The Iplayer app works really well - I watched the Wales v France rugby match on it yesterday (well done Wales (8 ).

Another cool alternate app store app is called App Shopper and lets you sort by "free" price catagories etc - which I found very hand and also lets you know of any daily deals :)

I had a hard time getting my favourites from chrome to safari - in the end I had to export them from Chrome to IE on my laptop to get Itunes synch to work :/

Loving the Ipad so far though - so many free/cheap apps but all seem to be high quality

I have a method with a piece of paxolin where I can get them on first time usually. Having someone peeling the plastic off and I push across with a piece of paxolin as wide as the screen.

Even with the iphone if you use another person to pull off the cover that touches the screen as you work up with a credit card it's fairly pain free.:D

I've just nicked my dad's iPad 2 to have a play with it and it's kind of put me off getting an iPad 3. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a brilliant device and I love how slick everything is but I'm really concerned about interactivity with other devices. I have an android phone and a Windows PC and I don't really want to use iTunes. I had a search round and I don't think it's possible to sync with Winamp or things like that. Shame really as it would be perfect if the system was just a little more open :(

Perhaps you have an earthing issue with your electrical supply?

My macbook pro doesn't give me the tingling/buzzing sensation you describe when I use it in the UK, but if I use it in the US plugged into a non-grounded outlet it does.

Little thing I noticed is the speakers are so much better to. When did they get a boost

When did *it* get a boost. Mono is the new black according to Apple. :-)

Still, better to have one decent speaker than two lousy ones. The sound on my otherwise excellent Acer CULV laptop (not much bigger than an iPad) is awful.
