Surprise no one mention yellow tint yet
I did earlier. Quite a lot of folk on MacRumours seem to have it inc yours truly. Some people are saying that it is an adhesive, which should cure after a few days...

My screen has a slight yellow tint in the top left corner (when held in portrait mode) and a brilliant white in the lower right corner. The spread isn't uniform at all and whilst reading mails or ebooks, this does show up to an extent. It is worse at an angle. I noticed the tint within seconds of switching the device on, given I'd used my iPad 1 for so long previously.

I'll give it till Wednesday before I decide on having it exchanged at Brent Apple store.

Edit: To clarify, the yellow tint doesn't bother me, but the non-uniform spread on the screen does.

Yes, I'm not sure I'm liking the warmth of this new iPad.

Here's a picture: the iPad 2 is on the left, new on on the right. Both set to 50% brightness. The picture does exaggerate the yellowness a bit, but it's definitely yellower.

When used by itself, it's not such a problem. But moving between screens frequently, which I do and I'm sure many others do, it's quite obvious and frankly quite unpleasant :(

I think a simple display temperature setting should fix the issue, if bloody apple had one that is :(

If any other members had the means to compare the iPad with an older gen one, would be nice to see how they compare.

Well I ran my iPad down to 10% battery last night, put it on charge at 11pm and by 7am this morning its only 83% charged!! Not too impressed to be honest!

I was able to charge mine from 0 to 100% in less time that that! I'll run mine down agin and test again.

iPad one is more powerful isn't it?
someone said:
The iphone chargers are typically 1 amp (5 watt) output.

The ipad supplied wall charger is 2 amp (10 watt) output.

Not sure how my battery is doing, 3% down in like 20-30 minutes, browsing and a 10 minute video from YouTube. I guess I'll find out over the next week :) need to drain it as well.

The supplied charger is 2.5A.

I didn't time mine but it was charged when I came back four and a half hours later.

Did you use a iPhone or iPad charger?

Using the iPad charger that came in the box. I am using a 3m long cable though that I bought off eBay..never had any problems with this setup on my iPad1 though.

I'll try it with the included cable next time and see if it makes any difference.

I recently only noticed the difference in yellows on my ipnone 4 from a 3G and like you I didn't like it one bit. I prefer the colour/tint of the 3G.

That said I was using the 4 for months without noticing and was perfectly happy with the screen. Only when I put them together did I get annoyed :D

Wyrdo on here has a 1 and a 3 maybe he will compare his as well :) Although by now his screen is probably covered in cake!

PCW for me tomorrow to finally get a look at this screen for myself, I will take my ipad1 with me and compare. I'm still 50/50 on a ipad 3 or ipad 2 refurb with 3G :D

Haven't ran mine down to zero yet. Will have lasted from 100% Sat morning until sometime tonight (I presume) with a fair a mount of web browsing, music playing, downloading/installing apps and a couple hours of Sky Go streaming the footy. Not too shabby really.

Will check charge times tonight.
