*** The Official iPad (Early 2012) Thread ***

Even when your on holiday somewhere sat on a plane?

I found my iPad 32gb to be the perfect size and now find my old iPhone 3G 8gb to have hardly any free space in comparison. :(

Its down to personal preferance at the end of the day, eg, on my ipad I've got 16+ game apps (the largest takes up 1gb :o ), got all the pages/numbers/keynote apps and also garageband etc. As well as over smaller apps for things like news/media/sky go and so on.

As well as holding 10gb of tunes, a couple of movies and several episodes of top gear. My iPad is now full to the brim with little space spare so now I have to delete apps/movies or rearrange what movies etc I want on there.

I have an 80gb iPod for music (although that's almost full), a 16gb iPhone for a couple of albums, and the iPad to be used a tablet. Think I'll manage :D

Ordered new iPad 32GB Wi-Fi only, delivery estimate is 1-3weeks due to 100+ back orders :-/

The other apple products I have our, iPod classic 80GB, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Excited to get an iPad :)

Someone just asked me if they buy an ipad from tesco and it has a fault, can you use the apple customer services to get it swapped out?

They want to use a double clubcard voucher :D

Yes. :)

Book it in with Apple store if anything is wrong....or just return to tesco within so many days for a full refund. :p

Yay mines being delivered tomorrow. 32gb 4G, took me long enough to decide, I suppose the delay means I can at least sell mine for an upgrade next year with some warranty to the next buyer ;)

No need to argue with the mrs and son over who has the other one now.

Just picked one of these up today in Malaysia for RM2199 (£460) 32GB Wifi+3G, Black.

First tablet for me, liking it so far , nice screen!

Set up AirVideo to stream movies over network, Apps to access my NAS and a couple of games (Airport Mania 1+2, , Burnout) RDP app for work / controlling network PCs.

Anything other apps I should be aware of? Used iPhones for quite a while but first iPad

Wouldn't you know it, no 3G in my area.

Using a friends iphone to get on the 3g network at the moment cause i cant get my ipad 3 to connect to 3g.
Could someone please give me the correct settings for my ipad please :)

Should get it going, providing you've added a Gigabag to your Giffgaff account already.

Have you bought any credit on the Giffgaff site at all or just received and inserted the SIM card?

The 3G symbol and the bars just mean you're connected to the O2 network but unless you pay for some credit with Giffgaff you'll get no data throughput. You need to buy a Gigabag on their site, which is just data only with no call or text credit. It's £5 for 500MB, £7.50 for 1GB and £12 for 3GB (I think) and the credit lasts for 30 days. Once you've bought one of these and applied it to your account, and made sure the APN settings above are correct, it'll all start working.

Ive bought the sim card for 25-30 pound so it should have some amount of data on it i thought it was just the the settings on my ipad that needed changed

Ah, so is the SIM supposed to have data pre-loaded on it? I didn't realise they did that tbh - I got a free SIM and then paid to add data credit to it as described above. If yours is supposed to have credit on there already then I'm not sure how that works exactly. Maybe ask over on the Giffgaff forums? They're quite helpful over there and reply quickly.

Where did you get the SIM from out of interest?

I've never seen anyone sell a GiffGaff sim with a bag included. As soon as you purchase it the month has started so surely this wouldn't make sense..?

As you said, the sims are free and you just topup via the goodybag and you're good to go.

And for that price I would hope it would have like 5/6 months of data on!

That's a DiDA sim not a GiffGaff sim.... :s
So you need these network settings...

Internet APN three.co.uk or mbb.minternet.net Connects your mobile to the DiDa Mobile network for web, email etc

I think the username and password will be blank.
