O2 new tariffs allow tethering, and existing tariffs an be converted afaik - i did it myself 6 months ago

just upgraded the wife to a 4S with 1gb monthly data and tethering so with my 500mb and her's we should have more than enough if we are out an about.
a bit depressing her phone will be better than mine as of tomorrow.
i'm holding out for the 5/6 later this year.

gpu sgx mp4 ? 70% as 2048 1536 res will really need more power
about CPU it definitely needs 28nm cpu if they just push a5 to 1.5 ghz that will be very very bad
as most apple fans they just need one thing retina and it will sell like hotcakes

They don't update their product line any quicker than most other manufacturers - model for 2010, 2011, 2012 etc.
It's not like, say, ASUS or Samsung, where they barely get a tablet out before the next one is unveiled.

Ah, interesting. I always wondered why the networks never hit Android phones and only iOS ones. Now I know.

That should be the case. I had been wanting to switch my phone to 3 ages ago but chickened out. My 3G iPad1 is on 3 and practically slaughters my iPhone4 (o2) on signal strength/data throughput wherever I go.

I'm looking to buy an iPad3. Held off on the 1 and 2 as they weren't good enough for me, but the 3 looks about right now. They have finally gotten there!
When you can finally buy them, will the website slow to a crawl and you have to go mad before they all sell out.....or will they actually make enough for everyone? The reason I ask is that they usually launch around mid morning and I can't access it at work.

I think I read somewhere that the launch was 6pm uk time, but I can't find the link now so could be wrong!!

It's literally always at 6pm. (The conference that is)
The iPad 2 went on sale at midnight with an instant 3 - 4 weeks wait for delivery - the only way to get one on launch day was in the Apple store or at a reseller (Dixons, Argos etc).
The latest rumors around Apple buying up all shipping out of China may suggest more stock so hopefully it will go on sale at the same time as the US and be available online for pre order.

I imagine US will get first dibs. I used the Apple Store app for buying the 4S literally the moment it launched online (ended up being about 9-10am?) and had no problems. My sister ordered a few hours later and ended up getting hers about 2 weeks after I got mine. Can't be arsed with queing up or faffing about on launch day.

Well, today's the day. Luckily I've been at work all night and have an hour to go, and once I've slept, woken up and had a shower, it'll basically be 6pm, so there won't be much sitting about twiddling my thumbs.

Can't wait!How soon after do can you order usually?
I believe usually the preordering starts very shortly after the conference ends - the release is normally a week after the conference, so possibly next Thursday/Friday.

Anything Apple thats new out comes out around 6pm GMT as thats 10AM PST for Apple!
