Hoping for option 1+2. I want a 13 Pro Max.

Couldn’t give a monkeys about option 3 I’m happy with lightning.

Hopefully this will be announced in Sept next year so only 11 months to go!

I think the iPhone 13 will be see through. Completely transparent with 6G technology speeds up to 5000Mb/s.

I’ve just pre-ordered.

You sound like such a salty m***n!

Probably just wanted to create this thread first and missed out on the chance

Now hear me out, I know it might be too soon. But the 12 for me was a bit disappointing as they missed out on some key features.
Here's what I'd like to see added on the next model:

13 Pro/Max:

1) 120hz
2) Smaller Notch/No Notch
3) USB-C (though its probably wishful thinking at this point)

I'm now pretty much convinced that we'll never see USB-C on iPhones. Within a couple of generations, Apple will just remove the port altogether.

Yep thats where we are headed with magsafe... But the problem is that magsafe has been disappointing. The magnet isn't anywhere near strong enough. I was hoping to have a car mount with a magsafe, but from what ive seen in review videos, the phone will just fall off

That's just one accessory. Future iPhones and revisions, third-party products, etc will make stronger ones. They have a few generations to sort out these issues.

I thought Apple didn't release anything until it was absolutely perfect?

Not true (they've released plenty of stuff that weren't perfect or even good enough), also, Apple has not released a portless iPhone yet so not sure what your point was.

I was referring offhand to the various comments in the iPhone 12 thread (some, but not all from you) about how 120hz wasn't happening because Apple won't accept a hit on the battery, won't accept a screen that isn't 100% colour accurate and so forth, (anything other than they're drip feeding tech to fleece their customers) because Apple Does Not Compromise. Yet here you are predicting that magsafe won't be perfect for several generations.

It's easy to release accessories that are a couple of generations off from being truly game changing, at worst, people just won't buy them. MagSafe is not essential for iPhones in 2020. If it were to be made essential (e.g. removing charging ports), then it would need to be much better.

However, it's very different to do that to your most important product that makes up 50% of your revenue, and they already added a compromised, far-from perfect 5G implementation into those phones. I personally would have picked 120Hz over 5G (if these phones were to have one compromising feature), Apple clearly thought differently (and I'm not buying iPhone 12 as a result).

I was in the market for an 120hz 12 Pro, but instead I bought a Samsung Galaxy FE. Its screen is outstanding and it hits 9-10 hours mixed use SoT without difficulty and with 120hz turned on. I am convinced Apple could have delivered the same tech this year (most likely limiting it to their Pro line), but chose not to, doubtless having been extensively lobbied by Telcos desperate to cash in on a tech that nobody wants or needs. Only a tiny minority will benefit from 5G, while the rest of us who just watch videos, social media, read the news, play a few games etc would be perfectly well served by 4G for the foreseeable future. Apple sold out their customers for the Telco billions.

If I wanted to get a new phone right now S20 FE would have been my choice as well. But I didn't need it (happy with my OnePlus). I get why Apple did it, 5G sells more than 120Hz. But I was ready to pull the trigger and now I'm keeping my OnePlus.

I've been recommending to all friends who got the 12 (and all other 5G phones) to just disable 5G and not spend extra money for 5G plans. Right now, the benefits are almost none.

With 13 being considered an unlucky number in some parts of the world I wonder if they will skip straight past it. They can always just call it New Iphone, then go to 14 in 2022.

12S? They've always called the iteration the S, so could easily do it again, then just skip forward as they did with 9 and 11S.

11 went straight to 12 and I believe that was the start of their new naming scheme

Regarding the rumour that they could be going portless in future iPhones - count me out.

I’ll chop it in for an Android the day I hear it’s true.

You only need to wait for 3 months before the same thing happens to Android lmao
