well, as soon as i installed the Gmail app. i started to get the email notifications so all sorted now.
Gmail doesn’t push to the iOS Mail app. The best you can do is set it so it ‘fetches’ email every 15mins (that’s the smallest time).
I did run with the mail app for my first year of iPhone but I ultimately defaulted to the dedicated Gmail app and it’s been great.
Believe it or not but some Google apps run and look better on iOS than they do on Android handsets.
I agree with all of the above, except for the last paragraph.Upgraded from a iPhone 8 Plus to a 13 Pro (also 256gb) two months ago, after having the 8 plus a few years - roughly since the iPhone X came out.
The main highlights / differences to me are the Screen (the resolution + 120hz refresh rate), cameras, FaceID, speaker is far better. It is a heavier and bulkier phone though than the 8 plus - immediately noticeable when you hold both in hand side by side. Generally speaking the rest of the experience feels the same, as expected but the battery life is amazing, could nearly go two days without needing to charge. I was put off going for the ProMax as it just felt unnecessarily large in the hand, definitely don't regret just going for the Pro.
I find it hard to justify the cost of the upgrade considering I felt the 8 Plus still did everything I need a phone to do and was still quick enough when it came to day to day use, apps etc.
Oh no, immediately return it.Had my 13 ProMax for just over four months now, noticed today that the battery capacity has dropped to 99%, is it normal to have dropped in only four months, admittely by only 1% though..
That's fine.is it normal to have dropped in only four months, admittely by only 1% though..
That's fine.
My iPhone 12 Pro Max had dropped to 92% with just 89 cycles after about eight months and Apple replaced the phone under warranty.
It's 1 % after 4 months, what difference does it make? It's going to lose capacity, I wouldn't pay any attention to the info unless you have battery issues.
Fair enough, i'm upto 50 cycles. Is the warranty for battery replacements just one year?
I've just realized this looks like the best way forward to me especially the 0% option, just need to decide if I go Pro Max or just the Pro version, will pop in store and see!Personally I buy the handset direct from Apple on the iPhone Payment Plan - 0% over 20 payments. This gives me the flexibility to get a SIM only contract.
naked phones for the win.Now to buy a case and screen glass
I know bud, its such a wonderful looking piece of tech but I can't trust myself not to drop, scratch, smash itnaked phones for the win.
