You have to use the tracking number and go to the syncreon site. It’s the same every year. I wouldn’t worry about it or keep checking it - I use to do this as well but if you have the 22nd it’ll be here on the 22nd I’d only periodically check it if you have a date further afield.

they've been pretty good on battery since what, 11/12? but the degradation is what worries me, apparentely some 14 owners had it drop by 10% in a year.

batteries have been bumped up a bit, with new chip etc it may well make a "visible" difference. My comparisson can only be made against my 2 year old 13 pro so if it's better than that, then I'm happy.
 
What cases have you folks ordered? I've been looking at the Snakehive, Mous and Bellroy leather cases.

Mine has dropped from 92% yesterday to 91% today.

I’ve not updated to ios17 yet but when I do I wouldn’t be shocked if that took it to 10%!

Will find out.

Think it’s the 13 on that have been good. I remember my 12 being poor.

I’ve heard of the battery degradation that people are experiencing with the 14s. Weirdly mine (got launch day) is still showing 100% capacity which obviously can’t be right. No idea what’s going on there.

mine is on 87%, that's decemeber 21 13 pro, charged every night and now topped up during the day sometimes. ios17 hasn't changed that, has been on 87% for a few months now funny enough.. first year it dropped quickly and now slowed down.

I went for the TORRAS Ultra Thin iPhone 15 Pro Max Case, think someone posted it here and I really liked the look of it, nice quality and feels quite nice.

Somehow my launch day 14 Pro Max is still showing 100% health even on iOS 17 as of today :cry:. Only gets charged wirelessly and I never use optimised charging. Even my Ultra watch from launch day is still at 98% battery health.

I felt this when I upgraded from the 12 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max. It was one of the the most underwhelming upgrades I'd experienced in an iPhone. Aside from the usual incremental tweaks and new SoC, the only 'big' feature that year was the 120Hz display with a smaller notch. I had been in a pattern of upgrading each year (since the 4S in 2011). I finally decided to switch to a minimum 2 yearly upgrade cycle and skip the 14 Pro Max altogether. Given the maturity of the product, only incremental updates are to be expected now, and of course Apple are now holding back features that are ready for the following year. It's now about incremental refinement and heavy marketing rather than cutting edge new features. I have also ordered a 15 Pro Max. I am looking forward to the always on display and dynamic island (features you would already have if you have a 14 Pro Max). It will be nice to have a default 24MP image (although 12 MP has been perfectly fine for my needs) and an upgrade from 3x telephoto to 5x telephoto will be nice I guess. Are these features going to transform my day to day iPhone user experience, no.

I was tempted with that Torras case as the Spigen Hybrid went out of stock and i was going to order but then the Spigen came back into stock. If i think the Spigen adds too much bulk onto the phone or doesnt have much grip i will return and try the Torras.

I'm torn on the cases as they all look great?

Are Apple likely to ship earlier than the advised dates of 2nd/9th October? I ordered the 15 Pro however I've never ordered from Apple before and I'm due to leave for Spain on the 10th?
 
Reviews comment on the reduced weight. I really noticed the increase in weight when moving from the 12 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max, and the 14 Pro Max got heavier still! So moving from a 13 Pro Max or 14 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max would bring a very noticeable (and welcome) weight reduction.
