Apple will repair the phone and do advanced replacement (a new thing I think) without loss/theft.

I personally haven't ever had a phone stolen.

Yeah you’re right. I didn’t mean it was exclusive to the loss and theft. Express replacement is a perk of AppleCare+ and is offered on all the devices. HomePod, AirPods, Apple TV etc

Like yourself I’ve not had a phone stolen, but I just prefer the full coverage just incase. I’d kick myself if I lost my phone and wasn’t covered knowing I had the opportunity to purchase the policy.

Like all insurance based products it’s a matter of weighing up the risk of self insuring.

On something like a games console I don’t tend to bother with any insurance based products as the likelihood of any damage, loss etc is low

Hmmm... Somehow I don't believe you :p No way EE gave you 60% off a contract lol. They've never allowed discounts to be combo stacked AFAIK...

I upgraded last Friday for the 15PM and have the 30% F&F discount... Haven't ever been allowed to add any further discounts on top of the 30% F&F.
Right, my new plan is now active, they've "manually" added the discount codes in a round about way - the multilane discount is also 20%:

I'm jelly if true :D How exactly did the conversation go setting up that contract? Is it a one-off advisor who's messed up? Do you know the CEO of EE? :D

I have F&F 30% off, but could also add a 20% NHS Perk, but have never been allowed to stack discounts...

Edit: Does seem a bit odd having 3x 20% discounts - everywhere I read says they don't do it...

Just seen I had a text from DPD this morning 7:30, expecting my EE parcel and can see it on the DPD app now too!

The order tracker also shows dispatched too with EE and they've updated my tariff already.

I went for the 15 Pro Max 256Gb in Titanium Blue for reference. :D

It's true ha. I said that I have two codes to use, they said no problem, but they would need to manually apply them due to system issues. They then said I automatically get a 20% multiline discount. I thanked them :) The iPhone is £1099 alone.

Exactly my point lol. I have a feeling they shouldn't have done that, and you've just gotten lucky.

As mentioned, the whole contract is less than the phone cost them to purchase! Let alone the SIM/network charges etc.

Potentially, but I've always been able to get them to stack the discount codes over the years, I've saved a small fortune and always makes having a couple of my lines on contract. Once they agree to something, they have to honour it. I've even had them re-listen to upgrade calls in the past where they've refused to apply the code. Once they've reviewed they call - they've always then applied it. Thankfully, I didn't have to go down this route this time round.

Total cost is around £32pm (£798 inc £30 upfront) for an iPhone 15 Pro 256 with 125GB data.
