Are you getting an iPhone 15?

Hopefully I'll get mine tomorrow though I'm not that bothered since I have a 14 Pro Max that my mum is having afterwards anyway so absolutely no rush.

Anyone else upgrading from a previous iPhone, are you restoring a backup or starting fresh? I'm considering just starting fresh for this one. I'll let it pull my photo library from iCloud but I think for everything else I'm just going to start again. Good excuse to get rid of the crap I suppose.

Though I'll probably change my mind tomorrow and decide I can't be bothered with the hassle :D

I start a fresh with every upgrade - with everything in the cloud it gives me an opportunity for a clear out including apps.

There is no need with apple stuff. Just delete the stuff you don’t use/want at all when going through. It’ll be easier for banking apps, authenticator, podcasts if all them just download on their own on the shift across. I’ve got loads of banking apps, I’d actually forget about a few of them. moneybox that I set up ages ago for example and it’s got some money in stocks ISA, same with nutmeg. I never ever ever check on these apps there just there but at least i can log in straight away without any issue.

I upgrade annually, and part of the fun of getting a new iPhone is setting up from new. There are new options etc that I might miss plus, I enjoy the feeling of a newly setup iPhone. If the device needs changing mid-way, then it's a restore. I also use the iOS Betas thus, a clean start is better for me.

Always use quick transfer, which will move my eSIM over too, have no idea why you’d start from fresh.

No email from box.co.uk about my 15 pro. Don’t think it’s coming tomorrow now, their website is shocking. No updates at all just shows my order.

I've ordered with Box too, nothing yet. Sometimes DPD collection can be quite late and then it all updates.

Zero requirement and Apple make it super easy to transfer phone to phone.

Deleting unused apps doesn't take long, and you can let the OS offload unused ones automatically.

Starting fresh is a Windows thing, it doesn't really apply to Apple software.
