Are you getting an iPhone 15?

That's why you go SIM only.

You could even stick the phone on a CC and pay however much you want over the 24m (or however long you can get).

Even that works out to be extortionate in my opinion.

Can get the same kind of deals with Vodafone for less than half the price SIM only if you use comparison websites. £36 a month for an unlimited data sim with uncapped speeds is crazy.

Depends on the SIM only deal - I'm on Sky Mobile @ £7pm :D

Isn’t the SIM £10 and then £20 ex VAT /month for 24 months?

Could be, but they have some great deals on a lot of the time. To highlight it isn't unrealistic BT (EE) Future Mobile, I recently negotiated a contract for only 23 users at £7+VAT per user for the same tariff being advertised, and I probably could have pushed for a lower cost if I had more time to sort it out. :)

Where you looking? The unlimited 24 month deal on EE is £26 a month.

I pay £28 a month for unlimited everything on EE which includes Apple Music which is usually around £10 so effectively £18 a month for unlimited everything on arguably the best network. Not complaining.

I’m moving to EE (get 20% w/Blue Light discount). Tried all the other networks at one time or another and always have issues w/signal despite being in SE London urban sprawl. Don’t mind paying a bit more for a reliable signal but it is a bit annoying their SIM only plans are either feeble or OTT for what I need.

The uncapped one is a bit extra. The "half price" for first 6 month thing is just a pain in my opinion, would rather them just charge a lower price for 24 months than 6 months of half and then 18 months of full whack.

When you say uncapped, what you referring to? Using tethering?

Torras SP is the best one out there right now that doesn’t rainbow at the edges or cover up the extremities of the screen.

So I’ve read (Macrumors forum ftw) - although since a user on there said they told them they’re working on a revised version I’m not going to drop £25 on it now if they make one with a better fit.

Nothing wrong with the Spigen EZ Fit screen protector, least it doesn’t cover the screen like the current ESR does. Not tried the Torras one as I pretty much nailed the installation of the Spigen one.

What is the general consensus on AOD?

The battery life is blowing me away at the moment with it being turned off. When I first got the phone it kept catching my eye on my desk and making me think I had a message or something so disabled it. I don’t really see the point if I’m being honest, I’ve never had it enabled on my Ultra either.
I use AOD but with the “show wallpaper” option off. This just shows a black screen and a clock, and number of notifications. It’s clean and doesn’t drain the battery.
