Not sure if this is the place to mention it, but has anyone noticed an improvement using apple intelligence? I’m using it now after setting to US etc but it’s barely any better. I still frequently get “here’s what I found on the web” for fairly simple things.

Have to say, the battery life on my 16 pro isn't anywhere near as good as my 13 pro max was but I wasn't expecting it to be. I'm setting it to only charge to 80% as well to prolong the battery as I very rarely leave the house long enough for that to be an issue.

13 series was a beast for battery.

Not iPhone 16 related, but did not realise magsafe charging was software based, been trying to figure out why my 13 Mini wasn't charging on two separate magsafe chargers and thought it was on it's way out, but a hard restart has fixed it. Plugging it in still charged it.

I’ve set mine to charge to 80%. It freaked me out to find it had charged to 100%. I googled and found it was normal. I hope it doesn’t do that too often.

It doesn’t make a jot of difference in the grand scheme of things, wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just use the thing.

It does it every so often to calibrate the battery.

This is a hyperthetical question. I'm not actually planning on buying one.

If I buy a 16PM from Apple for £50 a month for 24 months does that mean I can just get a new iPhone every year and just extend the number of monthly payments by an extra 12?

Thereby essentially renting it? i'm not sure you'd be saving money doing it that way.

I hope not, I use a ESim here but travel a lot, its great being able to buy a local sim and it just work.

Or use a travel eSim, much easier and works as soon as you step on the tarmac no need to find shops.

Yep. iPhones support 8 eSIMS on the device at once (although only two work at the same time).

I use the caseology on on my 16 Pro Max and been absolutely solid.

Made the leap from the XR to the 16 Pro and loving it. So much more capable in every way. Would have had the 16 but the higher refresh rate of the Pro was enough of an improvement for me to make it worth it. So nice to use the smooth interface.

Photography is obviously really good but a bit disappointed by some of the lower light shots, I’ve seen better on older iPhones (e.g. 13). Not sure why yet.
