I think you guys should be thankful you successfully managed to get an order in considering the royal £$%& up that google play store and google wallet was yesterday!
 
The only thing that concerns me is the size. I'm use to smaller smartphones, like the standard 3.5-3.7" ones. 4.7" sounds quite big to me, having to stretch my thumb to reach the top corners of the screen.

As sad as it sounds, I made a cardboard cut out to get some gauge on the size, taking into account the 1cm+ bezel at the top and bottom, it doesn't actually feel too bad. Would obviously like to get my hands on one to really see.

Obviously this isn't exclusive to the N4, since there are a lot of other devices that are around the same size. But has anyone else found it to be too big? I don't have particularly small hands, pretty average size.

Indeed, but it seems arbitrary as to whether you get stuck with the pre-order status or not. There was a fella who posted earlier in this thread who ordered his Nexus 4 before me (albeit, only 3 seconds earlier) who got moved to pre-order status while mine is still showing a delivery estimate for the 15th.

It's awful customer service on Google's part.

This is a pretty common stance for people that haven't ever owned the slightly larger smartphones. However it only seems large for a short period of time, you will get used to it in no time.
 
On Play store I changed my language to Spanish and then translated what it said (yes I'm bored :D )
'Estimated dispatch date: Thursday, 15 november 2012'
 
Well my order is same as a few others, pending in google wallet, Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012 in google play (feel a bit guilty as I ordered at 08:51 and some others who ordered earlier seem to have gone to pre-order status- but not THAT guilty).

I'm assuming (hoping!) this means shipped tomorrow, delivered next day by TNT, so likely Friday.

Does anyone know if google are updating tracking information when they dispatch?

Additionally, has anyone got a micro sim from orange for this, I went in an EE store but they said you had to phone customer services to get one delivered. Anyone been through that hassle, or is everyone getting sim cutters etc?

I found the sound to be about average not very loud just OK. Build quality seems excellent, decent plastic protector on the back which would possibly stay on for a while.

Don't feel guilty, mine is on the same status and I ordered 10:30. ;)

When I ordered my Nexus 7 Google didn't update anything until it was with the courier marked Out for Delivery.

Not just me then! Yeah I got a Nexus 7 through google, and it was only updated on the day (for that it didn't matter as I refused delivery - but that's a different story).

Another google product release omnishambles.....

People who received theirs today got an email after 6pm last night with their tracking info.

People in Nexus 10 thread saying they're getting their shipped emails at the moment.
