***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Crikey guys leave the guy alone, ok he spent well over the odds on a phone and yes its hilarious that someone would do that but he has his reasons.

As i always say to my thrifty friends, a fool is easily parted with his money.

But seriously stop crucifying the lad.

All props to the guy - he knows what he wants and nothing stopped him :D

Depends how wrong it is. If say you put SW2 instead of SW1, it will probably go to the right depot anyway. And the driver will know the actual address. Anything wrong in the last 3 digits, usually makes no difference at all.

I've checked and the full postcode I entered doesn't exist, and the first two letters are the same, so should use the same local depot for delivery. So hopefully common sense will prevail and they'll use the mailing address (minus the postcode) to find me. And it'd be an easy address for a local delivery driver to find with or without postcode. That's not to say I'll receive it though.

I'm not bothered, for the sake of waiting a week or 2 (once pre-orders have been fulfilled), I needed a phone :).

EVEN if that means eating from a tin of beans for the next month!

I feel sorry for his house mates - methane incoming! Naked flames prohibited! :D

Ah well :p. Beans it is!

Oh, and my Nexus 4 has some bleeding issues at the top of the screen. Only noticed it as I tried to record my polish house-mate raging on his game.

It's £80 more to make you happy - it's hardly going to break the bank unless you've hit rock bottom and are living off Tesco Value beans.

Pardon? So a person who actually has some sense when it comes to spending their money has "hit rock bottom" now? £80 is a hell of a lot, especially when it's only £280 in the first place.

A good tip for those who use chrome as your browser and are still waiting for the Nexus 4, download an extension called "Page Monitor" and set it up to watch this page every 2-5 minutes.

It will basically monitor the page seamlessly in the background for changes and alert you with a sound if anything changes on the page, like if it suddenly becomes available.

Thanks mate. Awesome idea. Done and waiting.

What does complete mean? I haven't received a shipping email.

its £289.

No, I said it won't break the bank - read again.

The value of Money is different to everyone - if he want's to spend it so be it...it's his money and he's happy.

This phone is wayy cheaper than we'd all though it would be - so another £80 or whatever to have it now rather than an unknown eta is peace of mind. It's not like he paid £1k for it.

In case anyone didn't see;

Tried using the camera to record a video in low light.

Little bit of bleed can be seen on a dark/black background at the top of the screen.

The audio speaker is very quiet as well. I've missed 3 phone calls so far because I haven't heard it ringing. The lock and unlock noise is very quiet too.

The phone feels amazing to hold though, not too light, and not too heavy. It's not overly massive in your hand either.

It has a white LED at the bottom of the screen which blinks every now and then as a notification if you haven't seen a message, missed a call or an email.

I'm not referring to DefiantAsh here.

In any case, I suppose the rest of us should be grateful, more people being ripped off for it elsewhere means a better chance for us to get one at the price it should be.

Debating with myself if I should just order an S3 from Amazon.de... trying to wait it out till the end of the week when we'll hopefully know something about availability!
